Porsche 911 996 C4S manual, registered on 09/04/2003, 69,530 miles, 12 months MOT, full service history, 3 previous owners, HPI clear.

Presented here is the opportunity to acquire a Porsche 996 Carrera 4S in a sought after specification; manual, coupe, non-sun roof and black-on-black colour combination, which, notably, has just undergone a full engine rebuild, including 6x new liners and an upgraded IMS bearing. The 3.6 litre flat six is therefore “box-fresh” and of a configuration that is improved relative to the one that left the factory. The Porsche’s coachwork is in fabulous condition, straight along every panel and free from any body repairs. The Basalt Black (colour code LC9Z) paintwork is equally fabulous with no blemishes and a beautiful glossy finish throughout. The car has been given a full body soft head machine polish and hand wax while in with us to emphasise and protect the gorgeous paintwork. We have removed the front bumper and had it resprayed, meaning that there are no stone chips present. The non-sun roof spec is a feature we like on these cars as it presents a sleek and clean looking roof-line. Underneath the car lay its original and genuine Porsche C4S wide body alloy wheels, which are found in fine condition, with no curb marks of grazing.

The black leather interior is in exceptional condition; accurately representing the low mileage that the Porsche has traveled. The sought after, optional, sports hard-back seats have worn very well, with very little wear, even to the driver’s side bolstering. Other heavily used areas, such as the steering wheel, gear stick and hand brake are also in lovely condition. All of the functions inside the car work as they should, including the air conditioning, which we have just fitted a new front to rear low pressure pipe to and re-gassed the system. Noteworthy optional extras that the C4S possesses include the sports hard-back seats with shoulder supports, front seat heating, and Bose sound system with built in subwoofer. There are two key fobs present.

As noted above, at considerable expense, we have just completed a full engine rebuild including 6x new Nikasil cylinder liners and an upgraded “EPS” cylindrical IMS bearing. As such, the 3.6 litre boxer engine is absolutely fresh and in a better configuration than it was when it left the factory. The six speed manual gearbox changes through its speeds effortlessly and the clutch is light with a positive engagement having been renewed, along with the rear main oil seal, during the engine rebuild works. The suspension and steering feel utterly tight, with the top mounts, top bearings and bump stops all renewed during our preparation process. The large brakes found on the 4S stop the car confidently, with the front discs and pads also renewed with us in preparation for sale. The Porsche rests on Bridgestone Potenza tyres at all four corners, which have nearly-new levels of tread.

A full service history is with the Porsche, including a folder filled with paperwork such as invoices for previous works completed and historic MOT certificates. There is also of course the servicing booklet and the original owners manuals, all contained within the Porsche leather owners wallet.

The service intervals are as follows: 02/04/2003 – 6,776 miles, 01/04/2005 – 12,091 miles, 17/05/2006 – 17,536 miles, 13/04/2007 – 20,745 miles, 10/04/2008 – 23,717 miles, 08/04/2009 – 29,246 miles, 31/03/2010 – 32,970 miles, 04/08/2011 – 39,059 miles, 03/07/2014 – 57,000, 02/08/2018 – 63,300, 10/11/2021 – 67,972 miles, 16/03/2023 – 69,530 miles.

The interval above was the full engine rebuild and the interval prior was a “major” interval and brake fluid change, also completed with us. The following preparation work has also been completed by us: IMS bearing upgraded for EPS cylindrical bearing, renewal of three-piece clutch kit, renewal of rear main oil seal, renewal of O/S/F side light bulb, adjustment of driver’s window glass drop position, renewal of driver’s vanity mirror unit, renewal of fuel cap, renewal of fuel cap locking rod guide, removal and respray of front bumper, renewal of 2x bonnet damping struts, renewal of engine bay light bulb, renewal of front brake discs, pads, wear sensors and backing shims, cleaning of 2x front air ducts, renewal of 2x front suspension top mounts, renewal of 2x front suspension top bearings, renewal of 2x front bump stops, clean and protection of steering rack PAS pipes, renewal of front to rear low pressure air conditioning pipe, re-gas of air conditioning system, renewal of 2x coil pack heat shields.
