+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

Presented here is the opportunity to acquire a Porsche 996 Carrera 4S in a sought after specification; manual, coupe, non-sun roof and black-on-black colour combination, which, notably, has just undergone a full engine rebuild, including 6x new liners and an upgraded IMS bearing. The 3.6 litre flat six is therefore “box-fresh” and of a configuration that is improved relative to the one that left the factory. The Porsche’s coachwork is in fabulous condition, straight along every panel and free from any body repairs. The Basalt Black (colour code LC9Z) paintwork is equally fabulous with no blemishes and a beautiful glossy finish throughout. The car has been given a full body soft head machine polish and hand wax while in with us to emphasise and protect the gorgeous paintwork. We have removed the front bumper and had it resprayed, meaning that there are no stone chips present. The non-sun roof spec is a feature we like on these cars as it presents a sleek and clean looking roof-line. Underneath the car lay its original and genuine Porsche C4S wide body alloy wheels, which are found in fine condition, with no curb marks of grazing.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The black leather interior is in exceptional condition; accurately representing the low mileage that the Porsche has traveled. The sought after, optional, sports hard-back seats have worn very well, with very little wear, even to the driver’s side bolstering. Other heavily used areas, such as the steering wheel, gear stick and hand brake are also in lovely condition. All of the functions inside the car work as they should, including the air conditioning, which we have just fitted a new front to rear low pressure pipe to and re-gassed the system. Noteworthy optional extras that the C4S possesses include the sports hard-back seats with shoulder supports, front seat heating, and Bose sound system with built in subwoofer. There are two key fobs present.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

As noted above, at considerable expense, we have just completed a full engine rebuild including 6x new Nikasil cylinder liners and an upgraded “EPS” cylindrical IMS bearing. As such, the 3.6 litre boxer engine is absolutely fresh and in a better configuration than it was when it left the factory. The six speed manual gearbox changes through its speeds effortlessly and the clutch is light with a positive engagement having been renewed, along with the rear main oil seal, during the engine rebuild works. The suspension and steering feel utterly tight, with the top mounts, top bearings and bump stops all renewed during our preparation process. The large brakes found on the 4S stop the car confidently, with the front discs and pads also renewed with us in preparation for sale. The Porsche rests on Bridgestone Potenza tyres at all four corners, which have nearly-new levels of tread.

+- SERVICE HISTORY / PREP WORK

A full service history is with the Porsche, including a folder filled with paperwork such as invoices for previous works completed and historic MOT certificates. There is also of course the servicing booklet and the original owners manuals, all contained within the Porsche leather owners wallet.
