Intro / exterior
Presented here is the opportunity to acquire a gorgeous example of the Porsche 996, which has been cared for with a money-no-object approach, having been spoilt with £10,000 worth of works in the last four years. The 911 is finished in the beautiful Black Metallic paint colour (colour code L744) and specified from the factory with the sun-roof delete option, which presents a lovely sleek looking roof line. The coachwork is in very nice condition throughout with all the panel gaps sitting perfectly and no damage to note of. The condition of the paint is equally good with a deep metallic shine and minimal marks. The Porsche has benefitted from a soft-head machine polish and hand wax while in with us to protect and enhance the nice condition of the paintwork. We have also had the front bumper removed and resprayed to remedy stone chips that were present. The alloy wheels that the car rests on are it's original Porsche "twist" 18" alloys, which are in good presentable condition having been refurbished 2 years ago. The tyres fitted are Continental Conti Sport tyres with good tread levels.
There is a full black leather interior to accompany the black exterior and everything inside has worn very nicely as the photographs demonstrate. The seats have minimal wear, with only minor signs to the drivers side bolster, the carpets are immaculate and the dashboard, door cards and headlining etc are in fantastic shape. Everything inside operates as it should including the air conditioning which had a recent compressor renewal and system re-gas. Some optional spec on the car includes; sound package with additional speakers in the door-cards, on-board trip computer, three prong steering wheel, silver coloured centre console, white counter dials, "Tequipment" chrome tail pipe tips. The optional extra codes read as follows: XJB, X54, X70, X71, 236, 413, 436, 446, 490, 659, 09971, 09991.
As noted at the top of the advert, the 911 has been treated to a money-no-object maintenance ritual and this tells through the way it drives. The engine is beautifully smooth on idle, doesn't leak or smoke and makes a tremendous sound through the stainless steel exhaust back boxes that were fitted in 2017. The clutch is light and makes changing through the 6 speed manual gearbox a joy. All the brake discs and pads have been renewed in the last 3,000 miles and as such the brakes are fantastic. The suspension feels nice and fresh having had new front lower control arms, link arms and track rods 4 months ago.
The most comprehensive a servicing history imaginable is present, with a folder brimmed with paperwork evidencing every expense ever incurred by the car since it was new in 1999. There is also past sales invoices for when the car has changed between its four owners, HPI searches, MOT certificates and of course the maintenance booklet inside the original leather Porsche owners wallet, also containing the original owners manuals.
The servicing intervals are as follows: 03/12/1999 - 11,781 miles, 09/10/2000 - 23,156 miles, 04/10/2001 - 36,334 miles, 09/12/2002 - 44,428 miles, 12/07/2004 - 54,301 miles, 22/03/2006 - 58,991 miles, 07/04/2008 - 61,186 miles, 02/04/2009 - 62,151 miles, 29/03/2010 - 62,369 miles, 26/04/2011 - 72,080 miles, 10/04/2012 - 79,909 miles, 30/05/2013 - 87,195 miles, 24/07/2014 - 93,106 miles, 27/04/2016 - 95,302 miles, 28/03/2018 - 99,336 miles, 18/05/2019 - 101,426 miles, 28/02/2020 - 103,781 miles.
In preparation for sale we have replaced both interior air vents, which have a tendency to break, replaced the indicator stalk which wasn't self-cancelling, renewed a roof rail clip which was broken, had the front bumper resprayed and machine polished and hand waxed the car.
