Intro / Exterior

Beautiful Porsche 996 Carrera 4S, in the classy colour combination of Seal Grey (colour code L6B4) with black leather interior, which has benefitted from the all important IMS bearing upgrade 3 years / 6,000 miles ago. The bodywork of the Porsche is superb and the car has undergone our usual FGP day's worth of detailing, protecting and emphasising the beautiful condition of the Seal Grey paintwork. Being very highly critical, there is a small scratch next to the rear wiper, and some very minor stone chips to the nose. The headlights are clean and clear without any of the common yellow coloured oxidisation. The original, genuine Porsche 4S wide bodied alloy wheels are on the car and all four are in lovely, unmarked condition, with Continental Conti Sport tyres with 7mm of tread to the front, and new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres to the rear.

Interior / Specification
Inside the Porsche is a timeless black leather interior, which is also found in exceptional condition throughout. Usual wear points such as the seat side bolstering and steering wheel etc have very minimal signs of wear and areas such as the carpets and headlining are as-new. Everything inside functions as intended by Porsche, including the air conditioning system, which has just had two new condensers, a new front to rear low pressure pipe seal and a system re-gas. There are two keys with the car, both operational remote key fobs. The Porsche has choice optional extras, inclusive of; sports hard backed seats with shoulder supports, Porsche emblem embossed head-rests, front seat heating, alcantara suede headlining, "Tequipment" aluminium embodied handbrake and gearstick, "small" carbon fibre package (gearstick and handbrake), Guards Red coloured seat belts, Bose sound package with built in sub-woofer, PSE (Porsche switchable exhaust and rear parking distance control. In addition to these options, the car has been fitted with an upgraded Pioneer head-unit with bluetooth connectivity. The optional extra codes are as follows: C16, XSC, XSU, XX1, X47, X58, 342, 375, 376, 425, 539, 540, 567, 635, 680, 09971, 09991.

Mechanics / Drive
Mechanically, the 911 is in very good health, having been cared for attentively by its previous keepers, with work completed in all the right areas (detailed below). The rear mounted 3.6 litre flat six operates and performs as Porsche intended, with a smooth idle, impressive power and a beautiful noise emitted through the PSE (Porsche Switchable Exhaust). As noted earlier, the need for concern with regard to the IMS bearing has been extinguished by an upgrade recently being carried out. Within the last 5 years / 14,000 miles the clutch was renewed, resulting in a lovely light left pedal to accompany the seamless six-speed manual transmission. The large Turbo brakes specified on the 4S are in good condition, with the rear discs and pads renewed within the last 2 years / 3,000 miles. There's a tremendous amount of grip provided by the four-wheel drive system and huge traction from the 295 wide Michelin tyres on the rear. The Porsche feels utterly tight on the road, having had an array of new components fitted with us in preparation for sale (detailed below).
