Intro / Exterior

Here for sale we have this beautifully cared for Porsche 996 Carrera 4S, in the classy combination of Arctic Silver body colour on a Metropol Blue leather interior. Its cosmetic condition is superb, with beautifully straight coachwork and stunning paintwork. The Porsche is free from any notable scratches and has suffered minimal stone chips to the nose. While in with us, the Porsche has been treated to our customary FGP full day's worth of detailing, to exhibit and protect the wonderful condition of the paintwork. A nice feature about this particular example is that it was specified without a sun-roof, presenting a cleaner, uncluttered looking roof panel. The original wide-body Porsche Turbo wheels lay beneath, which are in good order and have new Pirelli P Zero tyres fitted to the front, and matching Pirelli P Zero tyres with 4.0mm to the rear.

Interior / Spec

As mentioned above, the colour combination on this car is a classy one, with the Metropol Blue interior sitting beautifully alongside the silver exterior. The condition inside accurately represents the ultra-low mileage the 911 has covered, with no notable wear, even to usual wear-points such as the seat side bolstering and the steering wheel. The electrical functions in the Porsche all operate as they're supposed to, including the ice-cool air conditioning system. This 4S boasts some nice optional equipment, including the Tequipment aluminium-look package, which includes body-coloured lower centre console, body-coloured upper centre console and body-coloured dial binnacle surround, as well as 8-way electric seat adjustment, and Porsche crested head rests. In addition, the lower section of the centre console, where the CD tray would be located, has been deleted in favour of a genuine Porsche "centre console delete". There are two remote key fobs present with the car and its optional extra codes read as follows: XJB, XKW, XKX, XNY, XSC, 424, 425, 567, 689, 695, 09991.

Mechanics / Drive

This 911 has been cared for meticulously and this shows through the way it drives. The 3.6 litre motor mounted to the rear performs just as it did the day it left Stuttgart, with a smooth idle, bundles of power and a gorgeous flat six sympathy. While in with us we have upgraded the infamous IMS bearing for our favoured "EPS" unit, nullifying this cause for concern. The sought after six speed manual gearbox goes through its six speeds seamlessly and the clutch is light, having also been renewed by us in preparation for sale. The handling ability is tremendous, with brilliant grip and traction provided by the four wheel drive system and the Pirelli P Zero tyres. The suspension has recently benefitted from numerous components being renewed (detailed below), and as such, feels tight and responsive. The large brakes found on the C4S model provide fantastic stopping power and the discs and pads to this example have covered less than 1,000 miles since they were renewed in all four corners.
