The coachwork is in fabulous order throughout, with both sides perfectly straight and all of the body panels free from any car park dings or damage. The Arctic Silver paint work (paint colour code L92U) is stunning, maintaining it's glossy metallic shine, with no noteworthy scratches and minimal stone chips to the nose of the car. While with us, the Porsche has benefitted from a full body soft machine polish and hand wax, emphasising and protecting the fabulous condition of the paint work. The 996 rests on it's original and genuine Porsche BBS alloys, which are the two piece split GT3 design wheels. All four wheels have been split and professionally refurbished with the centre piece in silver and the outer rim in chrome. The tyres fitted all have lots of life remaining, the rears are Pirelli P Zero and the fronts are a mid-range brand.InteriorInside the Porsche is a Metropol Blue leather interior that is in as good a condition as the exterior of the car. There is minimal signs of wear, including to the normal wear points such as the drivers seat side bolster, gearstick and steering wheel. The general condition of the leather seats is fantastic and does not look like that of a 19 year old car. All of the functions inside the Porsche work as they should, including the electric sun roof and the air conditioning which has benefitted from recently having it's condensers renewed. This 996 has some nice optional extras, such as the three prong steering wheel, onboard trip computer with mpg calculator etc, 8-way electric seats, alcantara suede headlining, tequipment chrome tail pipe tips and of course the GT3 aero body kit. The Porsche's 3.4 litre boxer engine performs as it should, idling smoothly, revving freely and not suffering from any leaks, smoking or untoward noises. The car goes through the gears in it's manual gearbox very well and the clutch is light with a positive biting point. As part of the aforementioned health check and remedy there were numerous suspension/steering components renewed, as well as a four-wheel alignment carried out and as such the handling of the Porsche is fantastic and the car generally feels tight through the steering wheel. The front brake discs and pads were also renewed at the health check and the car stops very well indeed.Service historyThe car possesses a full service history with 12 service intervals shown in the maintenance booklet, all of which were carried out by Porsche main dealer or independent specialist.
