Here lays the opportunity to own this very rare example of the Porsche 996. Very few original Guards Red cars were made and even fewer were made with the sought after specification that this one boasts such as rear wheel driven Carrera format, manual gearbox, GT3 styling aero kit, non sun-roof and black leather interior. The coachwork to the car is second-to-none, all of the panels are straight and there are no signs of repairs. The Guards Red paintwork (colour code L84A) is also in exceptional condition throughout, the red paint is as glossy as the day it left the factory and reflects like a mirror having been subject to a full body soft machine polish and hand wax while in with us. There are almost no stone chips to the nose of the car and there is only a couple of small marks to be found elsewhere on the car. Underneath the Porsche lay it's original BBS Porsche alloy wheels, which have just been refurbished and so are without a mark. Bridgestone Potenza tyres are fitted with good tread.
Inside is the timeless black leather interior, which is in beautiful condition throughout. In fact, the inside of this car has aged so well that is could pass for that of a car of half it's age and miles. The seats are all without wear, the carpets and mats are extremely clean, the dashboard and door cards are unmarked and the alcantara suede headlining is as new. The steering wheel has very recently been professionally reconditioned in matching suede alcantara with red stitching. The Porsche was specified from the factory with an array of desirable optional extras, such as the suede alcantara headlining, "Tequipment" aluminium embodied gear stick and handbrake, 8 way adjustable electric seat and of course the aforementioned sun roof delete and GT3 styling aero kit. The Porsche is fitted with a recent double-din head unit with bluetooth audio and satellite navigation ect that is in keeping with the aesthetics of the dash. The optional extra codes for the car are as follows: C16, XAG, XNG, XNN, XNU, XSC, XJ4, X76, X97, X98, 226, 265, 266, 411, 425, 09991.
The Porsche has just had over £4,000 worth of work spent on it (21/09/2018) with Porsche specialists "Design 911", renewing any parts that inspection showed needed attention. As such, the car drives wonderfully and without fault. The flat 6 3.6 litre engine operates as it should, idling smoothly, revving crisply and beholding great power. There aren't any leaks underneath, untoward internal noises or smoke from the tail pipes. The gearbox changes through its six speeds seamlessly and the clutch engagement is perfect, having been renewed along with the flywheel as part of the Design 911 works in 2018. All four brake discs and pads were also renewed at this time so the Porsche stops fantastically. The handling ability of the car is superb and feels as tight as it did they day it left the factory There are no knocks or creaks over bumps in the road and the steering feels utterly tight and responsive, aided by the suspension being lowered by circa 20mm.
A full service history is with the 911, with 16 stamps in the maintenance booklet, invoices for works and nearly all the MOT certificates since new.

As noted above, there was over £4,000 spent with Design 911 on 21/09/2018 remedying any issues that were present with the car. Some of the noteworthy work included; four wheels alignment, oil/air separator, all brake discs and pads, oil cooler radiator, oil filler tube, power steering reservoir, clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, intermediate shaft seal, indicator stalk, wheel refurbishment.
