Intro / Exterior
We proudly present for sale this stunning example of the increasingly sought after first generation of the 996. The combination of the Arctic Silver paint colour (paint colour code L92U) and the Metropol Blue leather interior makes for a classy combination, and with the factory specified Classic Design wheels, this makes for a very handsome looking 911. The coachwork is in outstanding conditioning throughout, with no car park dings and the panels all beautifully original. The paintwork is equally lovely, with no scratches, very few stone chips, and a deep metallic shine, enhanced by our customary FGP day's worth of detailing. The original and genuine BBS "Classic Design" two-piece split alloy wheels have just been professionally refurbished in preparation for sale and as such, present like four pieces of art work. Pirelli P Zero tyres are fitted, which have at least 6mm of tread in each corner.
Interior / Specification
Within the cockpit is a Metropol Blue leather interior that has worn its years very well. The seats are fresh, with no sagging or damage and very limited wear to the drivers side bolstering. The carpets and headlining are all beautifully clean, and the dash and door cards are in nice condition. Everything electrical works exactly as it should including the air conditioning system. There are two working remote key fobs with the car. Some nice optional extras are equipped, including the desirable sports hard back seats with shoulder supports, three prong steering wheel and Litronic xenon head lights. The optional extra codes read as follows: XRB, 235, 255, 265, 283, 375, 276, 413, 425, 567, 601, 635, 685, 736, 781, 983.
Mechanics / Drive
The 911 is in superb mechanical condition and is fantastic to drive. The 3.4 litre flat 6 has a smooth idle, a crisp rev and tremendous power. It is free from any leaks, smoking or abnormal noises. As part of our customary sales preparation, we have upgraded the infamous IMS bearing for our favoured EPS cylindrical unit. The Porsche goes through all six gears smoothly and, also as part of our sales prep, has just benefitted from a new clutch. The brakes are in excellent condition, and the suspension is tight throughout all of its components and has had its front upper mounts, bearings and bump stops renewed in preparation for sale by us.
