Porsche 911 996 Carrera, registered 14/12/2001, 103,321 miles, MOT 11/09/2018, full service history, 2 owners, HPI clear.ExteriorPresented here is the opportunity to own this fabulous example of the second generation of the 996. This car is finished in Lapis Blue (colour code L3A8), which always looks brilliant on the 911. The bodywork is in outstanding condition for it's year, with no imperfections to it's beautiful curvature such as car park dings. We have just completed a full-body soft head machine polish and hand wax on the car and as such there are no swirl marks present and the lovely condition of the metallic paint is enhanced as well as protected. In addition, the front bumper has been removed and professionally resprayed to remedy the normal stone chips that were present. The only notable imperfection to either the paint or coach work is a small blemish the paint on the front wing. In 2016 the headlights were renewed with genuine Porsche units for the cost of £1,700, so these look fresh, free from yellow oxidisation that commonly occurs. The car sits on the original Porsche "turbo twist" alloy wheels, all of which are in very good order and have Pirelli P Zero tyres fitted. All four tyres have good tread remaining, particularly the fronts which have only worn approximately 1-2mm.InteriorInside the Porsche is a matching Metropol Blue leather interior. The overall condition is fantastic, with very little signs of wear, even to the common wear points such as the drivers side bolster, steering wheel and hand brake etc. The carpets are all as new and the car recently benefitted from a new set of genuine Porsche floor mats. Everything electrical inside the Porsche works as it is meant to including the retractable sun-roof and the air conditioning. This 996 has some nice optional extras specified including the aluminium embodied "Tequipment" gear stick and hand brake, Porsche emblem crested head rests, 8 way electric seats, "carbon pack" interior option, alcantara suede head lining and onboard trip computer. There are two working key fobs for the car, which also have a button to remotely open the boot. The codes for the optional extras on the Porsche are as follows: C16, 226, 265, 266, 413, 425, 437, 438, 446, 538, 567, 650, 689, 936, 981, 09991.MechanicsThe Porsche's mechanics are in fantastic order, having been lovingly cared for by it's two owners; the most recent of whom owned the car for the last 18 years. When we acquired the car, the clutch was heavy and required renewal, so while completing this works we also renewed the rear main oil seal and replaced the IMS bearing for the upgraded EPS cylindrical bearing, as offered in our IMS 'kit" with the sale of all of our cars. As a result, the Porsche has a beautifully light clutch and the IMS bearing concern nullified. The engine it self can not be faulted. On the road there is an enormous amount of power and performance at the right foot's disposal, the underneath is absolutely dry, there is no smoke emitted from the tail pipes and no abnormal noises produced from within. The six speed manual gearbox changes through it's gears smoothly and precisely, the brakes stop the car confidently and the handling ability is as a 911's should be; second-to-none.Service historyThere is a full and comprehensively documented service history with this 911, including the original Porsche owner's wallet with all it's original manuals and booklets, the fully stamped maintenance booklet and a folder filled with paperwork such as works invoices from throughout the car's life, MOT certificates, HPI reports etc.The service intervals are as follows: 11/11/2002 - 11,353 miles, 29/09/2003 - 23,008 miles, 24/09/2004 - 36,061 miles, 04/10/2005 - 45,859 miles, 25/05/2007 - 58,756 miles, 06/04/2009 - 75,925 miles, 02/03/2013 - 87,037 miles, 31/01/2017 - 101,364 miles, 11/01/2019 - 103,305 miles. As noted above, the Porsche has just undergone a minor service while in with us, as well as having the oil gauge pressure sender renewed and the aforementioned IMS, RMS and clutch works completed.
