Here is a wonderfully presented and eye catching Porsche 996. Boasting the highly desirable factory aero kit and M030 sports suspension package, this car stands out amongst the 911 crowd. Naturally, the aero kit gives the car a sportier appearance and the M030 package not only improves it's handling, but also lowers the car by 10mm, giving it a lovely stance. The bodywork's condition is superb throughout, with no car park dings to note, and almost spotless Arctic Silver (paint colour code L92U) paint work, which has benefitted from a full body machine polish and wax while with us at Friends Green Porsche, and as such, glistens wonderfully. The only negatives to be taken from the bodywork are some minor marks to the front bumper. The Porsche sits on it's original Porsche BBS GT3 split alloys, all of which have been professionally refurbished with the outer lip in chrome and the centre in silver. Four brand new centre caps are fitted, along with four good tyres.
Inside the Porsche is a very pleasant place to be. Black leather on an Arctic Silver car is a classic combination that simply "works" and looks classy. The leather seats are in outstanding condition with minimal wear; even to the drivers side bolster. The dashboard, door cards, headlining and carpets are all in very respectable condition and every electric component in the car works perfectly. This example has a brilliant spec with; GT3 aero kit, M030 sports chassis/suspension, and sports hardback seats. The option codes are as follows: C16, 030, 236, 375, 376, 413, 650. There are two working key FOBs present.
The Porsche runs and drives very well indeed. The engine performs just as it should with lots of power throughout the entire rev range. It does not leak, smoke or make any untoward sounds. In 2016, a set of stainless steel sports exhausts were fitted, which produce an addictive noise. Also in 2016, the gearbox was rebuilt, and in 2015 the clutch was renewed. These works were at considerable expense and mean the car changes through the gears seamlessly. While the car has been in with us, new front lower control arms have been fitted and a four wheel alignment has been carried out. These works in addition to the M030 sports chassis suspension result in a brilliantly handling sports car. The brakes are i good condition and stop the car quickly and confidently.
The 996 has a very good service history with 11 stamps in the service booklet, a folder full of invoices for previous works, nearly all the car's MOTs and all the original Porsche manuals and wallets.
The service intervals are as follows:
20/03/2000 - 11,970 miles, 06/06/2001 - 23,895 miles, 18/07/2001 - 27,755 miles, 16/06/2003 - 30,032 miles, 02/06/2004 - 34,603 miles, 08/04/2005 - 36,973 miles, 17/08/2006 - 43,550 miles, 27/09/2007 - 55,471 miles, 20/02/2009 - 70,700 miles, 11/07/2009 - 74,701 miles, 14/06/2010 - 78,867 miles, 03/02/2012 - 90,046 miles, 24/11/2017 - 108,672 miles. (Please note, between the last two stamps, there are 4 more written services but no stamps. There are also servicing paperwork for this time period.)
In the last few years the car has had the following: front lower control arms, four wheel alignment, spark plug tubes, gearbox rebuild, clutch kit, reconditioned starter motor, ignition starter switch, stainless steel sports exhausts, brake pipes, rear coil spring, inner cv joint, radiator.
