Intro / exterior
Having sold this gorgeous Guards Red 996 previously 3 years ago, we did not want to miss the opportunity to re-sell such a desirable and well kept example once again. The bodywork is in lovely condition throughout, with no damage or unwanted marks. The paintwork has undergone a full body soft head machine polish and hand wax and as such is as glossy and vibrant as the day it left Stuttgart. There are some stone chips to the nose of the car, but other than this it is hard to find fault with its appearance. Genuine Porsche BBS 5-spoke alloy wheels sit beneath the car, which are in good condition, but with a few marks present. N rated Pirelli P Zero tyres are fitted to the wheels, which have lots of tread life remaining.
An incredibly clean and well kept leather interior is found within the cabin of the Porsche. The seats have very minimal wear to them and the cars carpets are almost as new. Usual wear points such as the steering wheel and handbrake have also worn well and everything inside the car is original and works just as Porsche intended, including the air-conditioning system and electric sun roof. There are three keys present, two remote FOBs and the original Porsche grey ignition lock key. The optional extra codes read as follows: C16, 139, 249, 288, 340, 424, 432, 436, 490, 650, 659, 790.
Mechanically speaking this Porsche is fantastic. The engine starts, revs and performs just as Porsche intended and there are no leaks underneath the car or smoke emitted from the rear. The gearbox goes through its gears seamlessly, having benefitted from a full service while in with us, including transmission oil, filter and sump gasket. The brakes stop the car very well, with new discs and pads on the front and the rears in good order with lots of life left. The Porsche handles on its Pirelli tyres like a dream; the suspension is utterly tight, having undergone a refresh while in with us, including renewal of all four lower control arms, both front top mounts, bearings, bump stops and a four wheel alignment.
The 911 has a very good history record, including the stamped maintenance booklet, original owners manuals, original Porsche leather wallet, past MOTs, purchase invoices and works invoices.
The service intervals for the car are as follows: 14/10/1999 - 2,512 miles, 07/06/2001 - 30,856 miles, 23/05/2002 - 42,415 miles, 02/06/2003 - 52,170 miles, 30/11/2005 - 65,680 miles, 12/08/2008 - 70,084 miles, 12/09/2012 - 81,047 miles, 05/12/2016 - 91,020 miles, 17/04/2020 - 94,623 miles.
As noted above, we have just had a service carried out on the car and this was a "major" interval including spark plugs, auxiliary belt, pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and oil. In addition, the tiptronic gearbox has had a full service including automatic oil, filter and sump gasket. We have also renewd the car's horn, renewed both solenoid seals, regassed the air conditioning system and given the suspension a refresh with renewal of all four lower control arms, both front top mounts, top mount bearings, bump stops and then set the geometry up with a four wheel alignment.
