Porsche 911 996 Carrera tiptronic, registered 01/04/1998, 115,893 miles, MOT 19/06/2019, full service history, 3 owners, HPI clear.ExteriorHere we have a beautifully kept example of the Porsche 996, which is finished in the increasingly sought after classic combination of Arctic Silver paint colour (paint code L92U) and black leather interior. The coachwork is fabulous throughout, with no minor car park dents or scrapes and every body panel lining up as it did when it left the factory. The paintwork is equally as fabulous, with no blemishes to note and a gorgeous metallic shine present. There are also minimal stone chips present due to both bumpers being removed and professionally resprayed 18 months ago. In addition, while in with us, the car has undergone a full-body soft-head machine polish and hand wax, which has removed any "swirl" marks and protected the paint. This particular example is a non sun-roof car, which offers a cleaner and more simplistic looking roof line. The car sits on "turbo twist" alloy wheels, all of which were professionally refurbished 18 months ago so are in very good order and the tyres fitted are Continental Conti Sports; the rears were new 4,000 miles ago and the fronts have a good amount of tread remaining.InteriorThe cabin is filled by a brilliant black leather interior, all of which has worn it's years very well. The leather seats look well with no damage or significant wear. There is some typical discolouring to the driver's side bolster but this can be re-dyed prior to sale if the buyer wishes. The carpets are all in nice condition, as are the door cards, dashboard, headlining etc. Every function inside the car works as Porsche intended and there is an expensive aftermarket touch-screen head-unit fitted, which allows for the connectivity of iPhones etc. There are two keys with the car, one of which is a fully operational remote fob. This particular example is an extremely early and basic example with very few optional extras. The codes for the optional extras are as follows: C16, XRL, 249, 432, 662, 663.MechanicsThis 996 has been cared for with the view of money no object and this tells with how the Porsche drives. The flat 6 engine starts "on the button", idles smoothly and accelerates the car with a vast amount of power. No smoke is emitted from the exhausts, no funny noises are produced and the underneath is dry. The tiptronic gearbox performs just as it should, changing smoothly through the gears and responding quickly to changes in the manual tiptronic mode. In the corners the Porsche is brilliant fun to drive, providing a great amount of grip and simply feeling tight and responsive. A four wheel alignment was done 18months ago and lots of the suspension components have been renewed. Under braking the car stops sharply and confidently and in 2016 at 111,000 miles all the brake discs, pads and lines were renewed at the Porsche main dealer.Service historyThis Porsche has one of the most impressive service history folders that we have seen. There is a wad of paperwork that dates back to when the car was new and evidences over £30,000 worth of mechanic works. In the last 5 years alone the previous owner has spent around £15,000 on refreshing the car's mechanics, which results in a Porsche that should be mechanically "sorted" for years to come. It is worth noting that the Porsche has only ever been worked on at the Porsche main dealer. The service intervals are as follows: 26/11/1998 - 12,064 miles, 20/08/1999 - 23,690 miles, 06/10/2000 - 37,480 miles, 05/03/2002 - 43,349 miles, 24/08/2003 - 52,138 miles, 14/05/2004 - 65,733 miles, 20/10/2004 - 69,758 miles, 19/10/2005 - 77,519 miles, 28/11/2006 - 82,000, 14/11/2007 - 86,717 miles, 26/11/2008 - 89,874 miles, 02/12/2009 - 92,455 miles, 06/10/2010 - 95,551 miles, 30/11/2011 - 101,385 miles, 24/10/2012 - 103,888 miles, 06/05/2014 - 107,302 miles, 02/06/2015 - 109,808 miles, 01/06/2016 - 111,201 miles, 21/06/2017 - 112,819 miles, 10/01/2019 - 115,881 miles. Some of the works documented by the history from the last few years are as follows: Chain tensioner, four wheel alignment, speed sensor, brake discs, brake pads, brake lines, exhaust boxes, door locks, battery, lower suspension control arms, front bumper respray, rear bumper respray, wheels refurbishment, water pump, track rods, power windows.
