Into / exterior

Here we have this beautiful generation 2 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S, with the sought after wide body, which looks fabulous on the cabriolet configuration, particularly with its roof down. The long reflector running along the engine lid, deriving from Porsche's air-cooled days, returned for the 997.2 C4S, and makes the car an even more eye-catching proposition. Arctic Silver (paint colour code L92U), is also a classic Porsche body colour, which suits the 911 to a tee. The condition of the paint-work is flawless, benefitting from our usual FGP day's worth of detailing. The coachwork is equally nice, free from any car parks dings. Beneath the Porsche lay its original and genuine Porsche BBS 19" alloys, which are in un-marked condition and are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres with a good amount of tread life.

The condition of the black leather interior is outstanding; the optional extra sports hard back seats with shoulder supports are unmarked, and everything inside operates just as Porsche intended for it to, including the air conditioning system which blows ice cool, and the retracting soft top hood, which lowers at the click of a button. The car boasts a high specification, which includes options such as; sports hard back seats, front seat heating, Sports Chrono package, Bose sound system with built in sub-woofer, rear parking sensors.

Mechanically speaking the Porsche is perfect and truly excellent to drive. The improved 3.8 litre flat six engine equipped to the second generation 997 performs perfectly, with no leaks, smoke, or untoward noises, producing fantastic performance and a lovely sound. The handling ability of the car is brilliant, with the suspension and steering feeling utterly tight. The car is a docile cruiser when the Sports Chrono package is deactivated and a taut and able sports car when active. The brakes are powerful, benefitting from the larger units found on the 4S model. The gears are all seamless and the clutch is light with a positive bite.
