Intro / exterior

This example of the 997 Carrera S is in superb condition throughout and is found with a desirable combination of specification. Being a late gen 1 car on a 2007 registration, this particular 997 has the strengthened IMS bearing, as confirmed by the engine number. Presented in the beautiful Meteor Grey body colour (paint colour code LM7W), the body is perfectly straight and original, with paintwork that is immaculate, possessing a beautiful glossy finish. The car has benefitted from our usual FGP full day's detailing process and as such the superb aesthetics of the 911 are emphasised and protected. The Porsche sits on its original and genuine Porsche BBS 19" "Carrera Classic" alloy wheels which are in nice condition with Bridgestone Potenzas with good levels of tread.

The condition of the interior serves the 997 well. The front seats are the desirable sports seats with the hard backing and the shoulder supports. They are found in good order with very little wear. The Porsche is specced with the uncommon red seat belts, which tie in beautifully with the red brake callipers found on the Carrera S models. Areas such as the carpets, headlining, steering wheel etc are all in excellent condition and the cockpit makes for a lovely place to be. This 911 has a huge range of factory optional extras which includes; the aforementioned sports hard back seats and red seat belts, switchable sports exhaust (PSE), cruise control, rear parking sensors, Bose sound system with built in subwoofer, alcantara suede headlining, as well as all the standard Carrera S equipment. There are two remote key fobs with the Porsche and the optional extra codes read as follows: C16, XLF, XSX, 375, 376, 405, 454, 567, 610, 635, 670, 680, 936, 981, 983.

The mechanical condition of the 911 is superb, thanks to the meticulous care the previous owners have taken with regard to its maintenance, which is evidenced by the large history file present. The car feels as tight as a drum and is utterly responsive to any steering, braking, and acceleration input. The engine sounds beautiful and does not smoke, leak, or produce any unusual noises; just the flat six symphony emitted through the sports switchable exhaust system. The gears change wonderfully, having just had their cables renewed and the clutch is light, having been renewed 4 years / 19k miles ago. All of the brake discs and pads have been renewed within the last 3 years / 15k miles and as such, stop the car with great force and confidence. The steering is precise and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) works as it should, providing a taut and sporty driving experience when activated.
