Intro / exterior

Here we have this extremely low mileage Porsche 997 Carrera S, which is in such exceptional condition that it's a contender for the nicest 997s we've had the pleasure of selling. The Porsche benefitted from a new engine at the Porsche main dealer just 13,000 miles ago due to IMS failure, which means it has the re-configured, stronger IMS shaft and bearing, nullifying this area of concern. The car is finished in Atlas Grey (colour code M7X) and the body condition is superb. There are no dings or scrapes, and barely any stone chips to note. The paint condition is equally superb, with a gorgeous shine, no blemishes, and no swirl marks thanks to the full day's worth of detailing carried out while in with us at Friends Green Porsche. The 997 sits on its original 19 inch Porsche "Carrera" alloy wheels, which are found in beautiful condition with Pirelli P Zero tyres with good levels of tread fitted.

Interior

The black leather interior is also in beautiful order, the seats are the optional extra sports hard back seats with shoulder supporting, which are found in a condition that represents the ultra-low mileage the car has covered. Everything operates just as Porsche intended for it to, including the air conditioning and the retractable electric sun-roof, which is an uncommon optional extra among the 997s. Other desirable options on this example include the Porsche Switchable Exhaust (PSE), steering wheel controls, and all of the usual Carrera S features such as Litronic xenon head-lights, PCM satellite navigation, switchable sports suspension (PASM), alcantara headlining, and silver backed binnacle dials. There are two remote key fobs with the car and the optional extra codes read as follows: 249, 267, 268, 342, 375, 376, 425, 431, 432, 446, 567, 610, 635, 650.

Mechanics

Mechanically speaking, the Porsche is absolutely faultless and is truly excellent to drive. The 3.8 litre flat six engine performs perfectly, with no leaks, smoke, or untoward noises, producing fantastic performance and a heavenly noise through the Porsche Switchable Exhaust. The tiptronic gearbox offers a seamless gear change and the suspension and steering all feels utterly tight, providing fantastic, precise handling ability. The brakes are sharp, with discs and pads that have endured limited mileage and have little wear to show for it.

Service history / prep work

This 911 has been cared for meticulously, almost exclusively being cared for by the Porsche main dealer under a warranty plan. The servicing record is made up of the fully stamped maintenance booklet, a folder filled with paperwork that includes maintenance invoices and historic MOT certificates etc. There is also of course the original Porsche owners wallet filled with the original Porsche owners manuals.

The following lists the car's service intervals: 08/03/2007 - 6,658 miles, 24/03/2009 - 12,650 miles, 28/07/2011 - 16,982 miles, 18/07/2013 - 22,951 miles, 28/05/2015 - 30,385 miles, 25/05/2017 - 36,094 miles, 03/06/2019 - 42,919 miles, 25/03/2021 - 43,132 miles.

As noted above, in preparation for sale, we have just carried out a minor service as well as a brake fluid change.
