Porsche 911 996 Carrera 2 tiptronic, registered on 27/02/1998, 55,452 miles, MOT until April 2018, full service history, 7 owners, HPI clear.
This Porsche 996, finished in classic Porsche Arctic Silver (paint colour code L92U) presents extremely well and is in outstanding condition throughout. There are minimal stone chips to the front end of the car, and it is free from any car park dings or scrapes. The paintwork is superb with no scratches or swirl marks anywhere thanks to the full body machine polish and wax completed by us at Friends Green Porsche. The alloy wheels are the original and genuine Porsche "twist" wheels. All four have benefitted from a recent refurbishment, so are in very good condition, and the tyres have lots of tread left.
The Arctic Silver and black leather combination is popular for a reason; it looks fantastic. The interior represents the car's ultra-low mileage well, making it hard to believe that you are sat inside a nearly 20 year old car. The leather seats remain in fantastic condition with no damage and minimal cracking. The headlining, dash, door cards and carpets are all in exceptional condition and could pass for a much younger car. Everything inside works just as it should, including the air conditioning system, which we have just had re-gassed. There are two working key FOBs with the car; one of which is brand new. This Porsche boasts a nice spec, including full trip computer with mpg/range etc, premium Harmann sound package, and soft ruffled leather seats with seat heating. The optional extra codes on the car read as follows: C16, 139, 249, 340, 424, 432, 446, 490, 571, 650, 659, 939, 982.
The car also represents it's ultra-low mileage in the mechanical aspect. It drives and performs absolutely faultlessly with no leaks, no smoke, and no funny tapping noises from the engine; just the intoxicating note made by the flat 6 engine sat at the rear of the car. Whether in full auto mode, or manual mode, the tiptronic gearbox changes through the gears smoothly and without hesitation. The Porsche is very good under braking, due to the full renewal the brake system underwent only a handful of miles ago. The handling is wonderfully tight and and responsive: A four wheel alignment was carried out on 24/03/17, and components such as anti-roll bar drop links and lower control arms have also been replaced recently.
There is a full service history present, with a fully stamped maintenance book, an organised hard-back folder filled with invoices for works completed, MOT certificates, previous sales invoices, HPI reports etc. The original owner manuals are also all present in the original Porsche leather wallet. The service intervals are as follows:
15/01/1999 - 3,362 miles, 01/02/2000 - 6,526 miles, 31/01/2001 - 7,938 miles, 04/02/2002 - 8,899 miles, 03/03/2003 - 11,458 miles, 27/04/2004 - 12,042 miles, 27/04/2005 - 15,615 miles, 20/01/2007 - 23,588 miles, 23/04/2008 - 27,710 miles, 26/05/2009 - 32,378 miles, 25/05/2010 - 35,201 miles, 09/12/2011 - 38,612 miles, 12/02/2013 - 43,927 miles, 16/12/2014 - 50,094 miles, 26/07/2017 - 55,452 miles.
As stated, a service has just been completed by us so will not need doing again for another 12,000 miles. In addition to this, the car has also had works such as the following completed in recent years: 4 wheel alignment, new battery, anti-roll bar drop links, brake renewal including new discs & pads & fluid & hand brake shoes & calliper disassembly clean and rebuild, new alarm control unit, coolant level sensor, coolant expansion tank, coolant pipe, coolant renewal, window regulator, lower control arms.
