Intro / exterior

Presented here is the opportunity to acquire a very special Porsche 996 and one that we are proudly advertising for sale for the second time, having first sold it just over two years ago. What makes this 996 particularly desirable is its rare, sought after combination of spec, the full engine rebuild it benefitted from less than 4 years and 16,000 miles ago and the obsessive maintenance it has been pampered with. The uncommon Zenith Blue (paint colour code L3AX) paint colour and factory fitted GT3 aero kit produce a real head-turner and a 911 that stands out amongst the 996 crowd. The car is also a non-sun roof model, which presents a car with a lovely clean and sleek looking roof line. The condition of the bodywork is absolutely beautiful; every body panel is pin straight and there are no scrapes or scratches present. The Zenith paint is full of vibrance and shines beautifully, benefitting from a full body soft-mop machine polish and wax while in with us. Being highly critical, there are a few stone chips to the bonnet and inside the wheel arches, however the front bumper was removed and resprayed when we sold the car the first time so is in beautiful condition. The Porsche sits on it's original and genuine Porsche BBS GT3 two piece split alloy wheels, which have just been refurbished so are without a mark. All four wheels boast Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, which are brand new on the front and are very nearly new on the rear.

The Metropol Blue coloured interior is the perfect compliment to the Zenith Blue exterior. Everything inside is in exceptional condition, from the sports hard back heated seats, which at worst, only have very minor wear to the drivers side bolstering, to the suede alcantara headlining, which is as new. The door-cards, dash and carpets are also all in very nice order and everything inside works just as Porsche intended for it to. There is a high specification of factory optional extras on this Porsche, including; sports hard back seats with shoulders supports, heated seats, alcantara headlining, "Tequipment" aluminium embodied gear stick, "Tequipment" aluminium embodied handbrake lever, "Tequipment" chrome exhaust tips, onboard computer with mpg calculator etc, GT3 aero kit, non-sun roof selection. The optional extra codes are as follows: C16, XE3, XME, X54, X97, X98, 139, 236, 340, 375, 376, 413, 436, 446, 490, 571, 659, 09981, 09991.

Mechanically, this Porsche 911 is as beautiful as it looks. As per the advert title, the 3.4 litre flat 6 engine was subject to a comprehensive rebuild on 04/11/2016 at 103k miles, at the expense of £9,272.50, carried out by Porsche specialists "Marque 21". This included all the usual parts and works included in a full rebuild, and in addition, installation of 6 new, uprated cylinder liners and uprated IMS bearing. The engine purrs through it's stainless steel sports exhausts and has power in abundance. The 6 speed manual gearbox operates just as it should do and the clutch performs perfectly, thanks to a renewal 24,000 miles ago, along with the dual mass flywheel. The brakes stop the Porsche on a sixpence, with all the discs and pads seeing little miles and all of the brake lines having been renewed, including installation of braided-type lines and renewal of the brake line that requires the engine be removed to do so. The car handles fantastically, with vast amounts of grip produced by the four wheel drive system, an excellent feel given through the steering wheel, and no abnormal noises from any suspension components, having had an array of steering and suspension components renewed within recent years. Please see the "Service history" section to see full details.
