The Basalt Black (colour code L744) coachwork is in superb order throughout, with no car park dings to be found upon any of the body panels, no notable scrapes or scratches, and very few stone chips to the nose or any other part of the car. The paintwork itself is in just as lovely a condition, with the metallic flick from the Basalt Black colour being as present and as eye-catching as it was 19 years ago. While in with us, a soft head machine polish and wax has been completed to protect and emphasise this gorgeous paintwork. This particular example is a non-sun roof model, which is a feature we and the majority of our customers prefer, as it is not only more uncommon, but also offers a cleaner and sleeker looking roof line. The car sits on it's Porsche "turbo twist" wheels, which have been refurbished while in with us so are in immaculate condition. The tyres fitted are Bridgestones on the rear and Dunlops on the front, all with very good tread life remaining.InteriorThe cabin is finished in the popular grey leather, which offers an aesthetically pleasing contrast to the black exterior colour. The interior is found in very good order with seats that have minimal wear and represent the low 69k miles that the car has covered. The carpets in the car are in very nice condition, the dash board and door cards are all very clean and the headlining is as new. The electrical functions in the car all work perfectly and the Porsche is equipped with some desirable optional extras such as heated seats, full trip computer with MPG calculator etc, "Tequipment" aluminium embodied handbrake, three prong steering wheel and cruise control. The optional extra codes for the car are as follows: C16, 139, 340, 424, 446, 695. There are two remote key fobs present and both are in working order.MechanicsThe Porsche drives and performs like a car that is younger than it's years. The 3.4 litre flat 6 engine starts, idles and performs as it should, with a fantastic soundtrack and performance to match. The clutch is lovely and light and engages smoothly as it should, with it's last renewal at 35k miles. The gearbox changes through all six gears seamlessly and the brakes stop the car sharply, with the front discs and pads renewed with Brembos while in with us, the rears having been renewed at 55k miles, the brake fluid being renewed at Porsche only 1,000 miles ago, and four of the brake lines renewed in 2015. The 911 has fantastic handling ability and vasts amount of grip thanks to the car's four wheel drive system. The steering feels as tight as a drum and is responsive as could be, thanks to all four lower control arms being replaced in the last few years, as well as two of the tracking arms, and many other suspension components detailed in the "service history" section below.Service historyIt would be very difficult indeed to find an example with a service history quite as comprehensive as the one present with this vehicle. There is a folder full of paperwork that details the £1,000s worth of work completed on the car since it was nearly new. There is also of course the maintenance booklet which is fully stamped up, the original leather wallet and all the original Porsche owners manuals. The service intervals completed have all been by Porsche main dealer or Porsche independent specialist and are as follows: 30/05/2000 - 5,918 miles, 12/12/2000 - 16,739 miles, 18/01/2002 - 21,661 miles, 11/03/2003 - 27,481 miles, 12/03/2004 - 30,757 miles, 08/02/2005 - 34,958 miles, 07/02/2006 - 38,696 miles, 11/04/2008 - 45,028 miles, 30/07/2012 - 55,384 miles, 13/08/2013 - 60,212 miles, 16/09/2014 - 64,364 miles, 04/12/2015 - 66,097 miles, 16/11/2017 - 68,705 miles, 24/05/2018 - 69,223 miles. Some works carried out in recent years other than routine servicing detailed in the history folder include the renewal of: Front brake discs and pads, all four lower control arms, starter motor, battery, brake pipes, accelerator pedal, fuel tank sender, exhaust back boxes, coolant radiators, cam shaft solenoid, front anti roll bar mounting links, front suspension top mounts with bushes, bearings and bump stops, hand brake shoes and cable. The list of works carried out on the car goes on and on with the invoices present showing that since just 2010 the car has had over £21,000 spent on it.
