Equipped with a desirable array of spec, including the genuine Porsche GT3 aero kit, M030 sports suspension, and sunroof delete, the appearance of this 996 is set apart from the rest. The car is found in the classic combination of Arctic Silver paint work (colour code L92U) and Metropol Blue leather interior. The condition of the bodywork is fabulous, with every panel straight as a pin, free from any car parks dings or scrapes, and paintwork that has a beautiful shine. There is a small mark to the front bumper, but other than this it is difficult to fault any aspect of the physical appearance of the Porsche. As mentioned, this example is a non-sunroof car which is an uncommon feature and presents a cleaner and sleeker looking roofline. The fantastic looking GT3 aero kit is another sought after feature which was factory fitted as an optional extra when new. The 996 also benefits from the M030 sports suspension package from new, which doesn't just give better handling ability but also sits the car 10mm lower. This 10mm drop in addition to the GT3 aero kit and non-sunroof, presents a gorgeous looking Porsche 911 that stands out amongst the crowd. The 911 also boasts the optional extra "Tequipment" chrome exhaust tail pipes, which also add to the car's looks. The Porsche sits on its original, genuine BBS "GT3" style wheels which are in good presentable condition and have brand new Pirelli P Zero N rated tyres fitted.InteriorThe Metropol Blue coloured leather interior is a lovely compliment to the silver exterior, which is all in beautiful condition. The optional extra sports hard back seats are in very good shape, with no sagging and only some minor wear marking to the drivers side bolster. The dash, door cards, carpets and alcantara headlining are in very nice condition. All the electrical functions in the car work as they should and there are three keys with the car, including two remote key fobs. This example has some nice optional extras inside such as alcantara suede headlining, "tequipment" aluminium embodied gearstick and hand brake and onboard trip computer with MPG calculator etc. The optional extra codes on this car are as follows: C16, 030, x47, x58, 236, 288, 375, 376, 413, 424, 425, 436, 490, 567, 601, 659, 689, 695, 936, 981, 983, 09991.MechanicsWith mechanics that can't be faulted, this 911 drives and performs like a much younger car. As noted, we upgraded the IMS bearing to the EPS cylindrical bearing when we first sold this car in June 2018 at 99k miles and as such, there are no IMS bearing worries for the rest of this car's life. The engine starts, idles and performs just as it did when it left Stuttgart in 2000; there are no abnormal tapping noises, no leaks and no smoking from the tail pipes. There is also a sports stainless steel exhaust system fitted which produces a lovely sound-track to accompany the car's brilliant performance. As noted before, the clutch was also renewed by us in 2018 so is light and the car changes through it's six speed manual gearbox smoothly. The brakes are responsive, stopping the car quickly and confidently and the handling ability of the Porsche is second-to-none, with huge amounts of grip produced by the car's four wheel drive system. The suspension and steering feel utterly tight through the wheel, having just received new upper suspension mounts, bearings, bump stops and a wheel alignment while in with us.Service historyThe Porsche comes with a comprehensive service history, which includes not only the fully stamped maintenance booklet, all the original owners manuals and leather wallets, but also a hard-backed folder brimmed full of invoices for works completed, MOT certificates, HPI reports, etc.The service intervals completed are as follows: 05/04/2001 - 7,314 miles, 09/11/2001 - 20,012 miles, 09/09/2002 - 34,636 miles, 11/03/2004 - 40,281 miles, 12/01/2005 - 42,348 miles, 22/06/2006 - 53,066 miles, 27/04/2007 - 66,680 miles, 06/04/2009 - 80,039 miles, 25/03/2010 - 84,800 miles, 26/07/2011 - 89,767 miles, 05/01/2012 - 90,776 miles, 12/04/2013 - 94,731 miles, 28/04/2016 - 98,344 miles, 27/05/2018 - 99,891 miles, 17/04/2019 - 105,441 miles.
