Porsche 911 996 Carrera 2 manual, registered on 07/02/2001, 59k miles, MOT until August 2018, full service history, 7 owners, HPI clear.
This is a beautifully straight and original Porsche 996. There is hardly an imperfection to be found on the bodywork, with no dings, scrapes or scratches, and not even any stone chips to the front bumper, due to it being removed and resprayed while in with us. The Arctic Silver (paint colour code L92U) paintwork is immaculate throughout and shines wonderfully. It has benefitted from a full-body machine polish and wax with us at Friends Green Porsche. This particular model is a non-sun roof model, which presents a sleeker, cleaner look along the roof of the car. The alloy wheels are the original and genuine Porsche BBS "turbo twist" wheels, all four recently refurbished so without any curbing, and all four fitted with premium branded Continental sport tyres, with the rears being brand new.
The interior of this 911 is also in superb condition. The colour combination of the black leather on the silver exterior is classic to the 996 and looks brilliant. As can be seen by the pictures, the optional extra leather sports hard back seats are in fantastic order, with no nasty cracks, tears or sagging. The dashboard, door cards and optional extra suede alcantara headlining are as new. The carpets are incredibly clean for an 16 year old car. Basically the condition of the inside of the Porsche is an accurate representation of it's ultra-low mileage of 59,000 miles. Everything inside operates as it did when it left Stuttgart in 2001 including the air-con which is ice cold. There are three keys with the car, two of which have working remote FOBs. The car's optional extra codes are as follows: C16, 236, 375, 376, 413, 424, 425, 567, 695, 936, 981, 983.
This car drives as if it is a Porsche on 59,000 miles - Brilliantly. There are absolutely no knocks or creaks as it gets along the road, and the handling ability is fantastic, with a great feel through the steering wheel in the bends. The engine performs just as would be expected of a low mileage Porsche: It does not leak, smoke or make any untoward sounds. There is power in abundance beneath the right foot, with a soundtrack to match. The clutch is absolutely as it should be, the gears change up and down beautifully smoothly and the brakes stop the car on a sixpence. To summarise; it would be incredibly hard to find an example in better mechanical condition.
The Porsche has a full service history presents, with 12 stamps in the maintenance booklet. All the original Porsche manuals, cards and wallets are also present. There are some bills for previous work in the history, as well as previous MOT certificates.
The service intervals are as follows:
09/04/2002 - 2,471 miles, 15/04/2003 - 3,786 miles, 27/03/2004 - 6,014 miles, 07/02/2005 - 11,348 miles, 24/09/2007 - 24,766 miles, 23/10/2008 - 37,500 miles, 28/11/2009 - 43,130 miles, 12/10/2010 - 45,541 miles, 14/10/2011 - 46,679 miles, 23/10/2012 - 48,123 miles, 15/04/2014 - 51,108 miles, 09/06/2017 - 59,214 miles.
The service just completed was a "major" service, including brake fluid change, carried out by JMH Porsche specialists. Since taking the car in, we have had a full four wheel alignment completed as well as putting 12 months MOT on the car.
