The Lapis Blue paint colour (colour code L3A8) that the car is finished in is fairly uncommon, having only been made for four years, and is particularly rare on the pre-facelift cars, as it was only made on them for the last year of their manufacturing. The bodywork is in wonderful condition and this example boasts the factory fitted GT3 aero kit, M030 sports chassis, and "Tequipment" chrome tail pipes, presenting a sporty looking Porsche 911. The M030 chassis would normally leave the car sitting 10mm lower than that of standard, but this car has been set up to sit 20mm lower than standard. The car was also selected from the factory to have the sun-roof delete option, which leaves the car with a clean and sleek looking roof line. The paintwork is in outstanding condition; it would be difficult to find a mark anywhere on the car and the Lapis Blue metallic colour is vibrant and without any swirl or scratch marks. The car has also been subject to a full body soft-mop machine polish and wax while in with us. The Porsche sits on it's original and genuine Porsche BBS GT3 two piece split alloy wheels. All four are in presentable condition and are fitted with Continental Conti Sport tyres, which all have very good tread.InteriorThe Graphite Grey leather interior that is found inside the car is in good condition and suits the Lapis Blue exterior well. The Porsche benefits from having the optional extra sports hard back seats with shoulder supports, which are in good condition with only slight wear to the drivers side bolstering. The car also boasts the alcantara suede headling, which is in as-new condition. The carpets and floor mats are in lovely order and the dash and door cards have worn their 18 years of life very well. Everything in the car functions as Porsche intended for it to, and in addition to the GT3 aero kit, M030 sports chassis, Tequipment chrome tail pipes, sports hard back seats, and alcantara suede headlining, the car also boasts the upgraded sound system package and three prong steering wheel.. There are two remote key fobs with the car. The optional extra codes are as follows: C16, 030, XAA, XRL, X54, 236, 375, 376, 425, 436, 446, 490, 567, 689, 936, 981, 983, 09981, 09991.MechanicsThe mechanical workings of this 911 can not be faulted. The 3.4 litre engine perched over the rear of the car starts on the button, idles smoothly and revs through the rpms crisply. There is no smoking or leaking and there are no abnormal noises present; just the fantastic noise produced by the flat six motor, emphasised by the sports stainless steal exhaust system that is on the car. The six speed manual gearbox changes seamlessly and the clutch operates perfectly, thanks to it's renewal 14,000 miles ago. The brakes were also subject to a total overhaul 13,000 miles ago, so the car stops on a sixpence. The car handles superbly with no untoward noises from any suspension components etc. As previously noted, the Porsche was factory fitted with the M030 sports chassis, which provides a slightly firmer, stiffer car, but not to the extent that it becomes uncomfortable to drive daily.Service historyA comprehensive history is present with the car. The maintenance booklet is fully stamped, all of the original Porsche manuals and wallets are present, and there are papers such as a wad of documentation for previous works completed, nearly all the previous MOT certificates, a Porsche certificate of authenticity and HPI reports etc.The service intervals completed are as follows: 15/08/2001 - 9,954 miles, 25/03/2002 - 11,759 miles, 29/04/2002 - 12,436 miles, 23/06/2003 - 21,614 miles, 21/07/2004 - 28,982 miles, 19/07/2005 - 37,495 miles, 13/07/2006 - 46,828 miles, 03/07/2007 - 51,463 miles, 01/07/2008 - 59,105 miles, 29/06/2009 - 66,614 miles, 14/07/2010 - 74,305 miles, 24/05/2013 - 87,560 miles, 09/04/2018 - 103,194 miles. As above, the Porsche has just been serviced, so this will not need doing again for another 12,000 miles. Some works carried out in recent years include: Stainless steel sports exhaust system, complete brakes overhaul including all new discs, all new pads, a new brake calliper, all new brake wear sensors, brake fluid, clutch kit, rear main seal.
