Porsche 911 997 Carrera S manual, registered on 12/09/2005, 31k miles, MOT until July 2018, full service history, 5 owners, HPI clear.
Extremely low mileage and well presented 997 Carrera S. This example is in superb condition throughout, as would be expected of a Porsche with a mere 31,000 miles on the clock. The body is perfectly straight and original, and the Arctic Silver (paint colour code L92U) paintwork is immaculate with a beautiful metallic shine. It would be very difficult to find anything to fault about the aesthetics of this 997. The car has benefitted from a full body machine polish and wax with us at Friends Green Porsche to preserve it's lovely shine. The Porsche sits on genuine 19" Fuchs wheels which are only a couple of years old and cost circa £3,500. All four are in nice condition with Michelin Pilot sport tyres with good tread.
In a word; Immaculate. The condition of the 997's interior is fantastic throughout. When entering the cockpit, the aroma of lovely new-car leather is immediately apparent. The carpets and alcantara suede headlining look practically new, the door cards and dash are unmarked and the seats have almost no wear at all. This example has a huge range of factory optional extras which include; Multi function steering wheel, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, park assist, sun roof, PCM satellite navigation, Bose surround sound system, six disc auto changer, 8 way electric seats, stainless steel door entry guards, aluminium-look interior package, sports gear shifter, switchable sports exhaust system, Porsche crested head rests. Optional extra codes: C16, XCK, XCL, XCN, XCY, XCZ, XLF, XSC, XV1, X70, 342, 405, 425, 431, 437, 09991. There are two working key FOBs present.
The mechanics are another aspect of the Porsche that can not be faulted. The way in which it drives makes it apparent that it has not covered many miles. The car feels as tight as a drum and is utterly responsive to any steering, braking, and acceleration input. The engine sounds beautiful and does not smoke, leak, or produce any unusual noises. The gears change wonderfully and the clutch has just been renewed as of 31/08/2017. The car had a full Porsche main dealer warranty on it up until 2015, and it should be possible to re-instate this warranty if wanted. In 2015 the car also had a 230 point Peter Morgan independent Porsche inspection completed which it passed with flying colours. A compression test and bore scope were also completed and all found to be good. When the clutch was renewed on 31/08/2017, the IMS bearing was also inspected and found to be in perfect condition. The IMS bearing was also found to be the later, stronger version that is less prone to failure.
There is a full service history present with the vehicle, including the stamped up maintenance booklet, invoices for previous works, Porsche inspection report, HPI report, Porsche certificate of authenticity, all the original owners manual and wallets etc.
The following lists the car's service intervals: 26/11/2007 - 8,084 miles, 12/08/2010 - 10,953 miles, 13/04/2012 - 11,032 miles, 01/04/2014 - 16,862 miles, 31/08/2017 - 31,301 miles.
The first four services were completed at Porsche main dealer and the one just completed was by our Porsche specialists "Porscha Care ltd". As previously stated, the clutch was also renewed at this time, along with inspection of the IMS bearing.
