Short video of the car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFDkl6URnIoPorsche 911 996 Carrera 2 tiptronic, registered 03/12/2002, 109,748 miles (41,000 miles on new engine), 12 months MOT, full service history, 4 owners, HPI clear.ExteriorHere we have a highly desirably specified example; a Guards Red (colour code L84A) Porsche 996 Targa. The car is in outstanding condition throughout with bodywork that is without any car park dings, scrapes or scratches and paintwork that has a deep and consistent shine across every panel. The Porsche has benefitted from a full body soft machine polish and wax, emphasising the beautiful classic Guards Red paint colour. There are minimal stone chips to the front bumper, with only a couple of minor imperfections present at the bottom of the front splitter. The glass in the retractable targa roof is in beautiful condition and contrasts nicely with the red coloured body. The Porsche sits on it's original, genuine Porsche alloy wheels which are in good presentable condition. All four tyres are Michelin Pilot Sports, two of which are brand new and two of which are very nearly new.InteriorThis 996 has been specified with the classic Porsche combination of Guards Red exterior and a full black leather interior. The condition of everything inside the car is outstanding. The sports hard back seats have almost no wear to the leather whatsoever, as is demonstrated by the pictures. This car also benefits from being specified from the factory with special order colour coded red stitching to the internal leather, which looks gorgeous and obviously compliments the exterior colour wonderfully. The carpets in the cockpit are all in lovely order and the dash and door cards present brilliantly. All the electrical functions in the car work as they should, including the retractable blind for the roof, the retractable glass targa top, and the air conditioning system which benefitted from two new air conditioning condensers in 2015. There are two keys with the car, one of which is a fully functioning remote fob. The optional extra codes on this car are as follows: C16, XSC, 249, 288, 375, 376, 425, 432, 490, 567, 601, 936, 981, 983, 586, 00051, 09991, 21451.MechanicsThe mechanical order of this particular 911 is a credit to it's four previous owners. The way in which the car drives and performs can not be faulted and it generally feels like a vehicle that is far younger than it's years. The 3.6 litre flat 6 engine was renewed by the Porsche main dealer in 2008 at 68,000 miles, meaning the new engine has only covered 41,000 miles and being a post 2005 engine, is the strengthened version of the M96 engine found in the 996, so the IMS bearing is not of concern with this engine. As would be expected, this new engine performs as it should with no leaks, smoke or untoward noises. The tiptronic gearbox shifts through the gears smoothly and responds quickly to the manual mode gear changes. The brakes are all in very good order and are responsive, stopping the car quickly. The handling of the Porsche is utterly tight and responds sharply to steering input. The suspension components are also free from any abnormal noises or feelings.Service historyThe Porsche comes with a comprehensive service history, which includes not only the fully stamped maintenance booklet, all the original owners manuals and leather wallets, but also an organised folder full with invoices for works completed, MOT certificates, a recent "Porsche Inspections" independent inspection and the original bill of sale for the car.The service intervals completed are as follows: 06/10/2003 - 12,264 miles, 25/10/2004 - 24,243 miles, 19/09/2005 - 35,256 miles, 21/08/2006 - 48,823 miles, 07/06/2007 - 60,561 miles, 12/02/2008 - 68,294 miles, 23/03/2009 - 84,508 miles, 26/11/2009 - 93,938 miles, 21/05/2015 - 102, 360 miles, 10/10/2016 - 107,813 miles. All but the last two service intervals have been carried out at Porsche main dealer. The last two services have been with Porsche specialists. Some works detailed in the history folder within the last few years include: New battery, coolant expansion tank and cap and coolant, key head, coil packs, air conditioning condensers, water pump and pressure lines, new replacement engine from Porsche.
