The Guards Red colour (paint code L84A), is one that is very uncommon amongst this model and sets it apart from the usual silver and black examples. As is demonstrated by the photographs, the paintwork is in fantastic condition, with a deep, unfaded shine. There are minimal blemishes to the paint, with only a few minor marks to the nose of the car. The Porsche has also benefitted from a full-body soft head machine polish and hand wax, which has really emphasised and protected the untainted shine. The bodywork it self is on par with the paintwork; there are no car parks dings to be seen and every panel is as straight as it was when the Cayman was new. The car is found on it's original 18" Porsche alloy wheels, all four of which are in presentable condition and have tyres with good tread remaining.InteriorInside the car the Cayman boasts a contrasting deep blue coloured (Metrolpol Blue) leather interior. The condition of the interior is superb, with all of the carpets, door-cards, the dashboard etc found in an unmarked state, and the leather seats suffering very little wear, with only minimal signs on the drivers side bolstering. There are some nice features and spec on the Porsche, such as the onboard trip computer with MPG calculator, range etc, as well as the desirable PCM satellite navigation system. There are two remote key fobs present, both of which are fully functioning. The optional extra codes on this car are as follows: C16, 440, 502, 507, 567, 610, 635, 665, 670, 946.MechanicsMechanically speaking this Cayman is just as the new owner would want it to be. The 3.4 litre flat 6 engine starts "on the button", idles smoothly, revs cleanly and possesses an exciting amount of horse power. There is no smoking from the tail pipes, no leaks underneath and no untoward noises from the internals. The handling ability is intoxicating, with the engine situated in the middle, giving a beautifully balanced car and one that goes around corners as if glued to the tarmac. This particular example feels utterly tight; free from any rattles or clonks from any suspension components, as would be expected of a Porsche with this little miles. The brakes in all four corners are in good order and stop the car very well, the clutch has a positive engagement and feel and the 6 speed manual gearbox transfers through it's gears seamlessly.Service historyThere is a full service history present, with a fully stamped maintenance booklet, previous MOT certificates and some miscellaneous paperwork such as invoices for works and HPI certificates. The service intervals are as follows: 29/01/2008 - 20,018 miles, 03/02/2009 - 28,721 miles, 03/02/2010 - 37,082 miles, 02/03/2012 - 47,065 miles, 19/03/2014 - 54,943 miles, 13/06/2017 - 57,082 miles, 17/09/2018 - 64,684 miles. As noted, the Porsche has just undergone a minor service while in with us.
