Available for sale is this Porsche 991 generation 911, found in a rare guise, equipped with a traditional manual gearbox. Finished in Basalt Black Metallic (colour codeC9Z), the condition of the coachwork is fabulous throughout, with “pin straight” body panels and no previous paint damage or repairs to behold. Our customary FGP detailing package has been carried out, leaving a swirl-free finish to the gleaming paintwork. The genuine Porsche Sport Techno 20″ alloy wheels were factory equipped, reminiscent of Porsche’s classic wheels but with a modern twist befitting of the 991. The Guards Red brake calipers look beautiful within the inner of the wheels, with clean, unfaded paintwork. Both the front head lamps and rear tail lamps are crystal clear and the stainless finish to the twin ring tail pipe tips is clean and unmarked. From factory, this example was specified with its model designation “deleted” from the rear, offering a clean, uncluttered looking rear end. The electric sun-roof is a further option selected on this example, which was enlarged on the 991, spanning the full width of the roof panel.

The black leather interior found within the cabin is timeless and sits in beautiful condition. The leather to the seats is supple, the carpets are unmarked and areas such as the dashboard and headlining are as-new. The steering wheel, gear knob/gaiter, centre console and glove box have just benefitted from a retrimming in suede alcantara, which, along with the Guards Red seat belts, make the cabin feel GT car-esque. The 991 boasts an array of optional equipment, which includes the Sport Design steering wheel, sports seats with 4-way electric adjustment, front seat heating, Guards Red seat belts, Bose sound system, front and rear parking sensors, electrically retractable door mirrors, electrically retractable sun-roof, Xenon Plus Dynamic Cornering headlights, headlight washers, universal multimedia interface, Porsche (switchable) Sports Exhaust. There are two remote key fobs with the car.

The naturally aspirated 3.4 litre flat six is a glorious engine to have mounted at the rear of the 911, with brilliant performance and a soundtrack to match, emphasised by the Porsche (switchable) Sports Exhaust, which the car was specified with from new. The 7-speed manual gearbox is a rarity amongst the 991 generation, offering driver engagement that’s lost with an automatic transmission. The clutch pedal is light with a positive engagement and the brakes are sharp, with lots of life remaining to the discs and pads. The handling ability is sublime, with ultra-responsive steering and utterly tight suspension. Pirelli P Zero tyres are fitted, which are 18 months old at the rear and brand new at the front.

A comprehensive servicing history is with the 911, with every interval and all maintenance completed by Porsche main dealer or Porsche independent specialist. Present is a folder filled with paperwork evidencing the expenditure that’s been afforded to the Porsche over the years, as well as historic MOT certificates and other miscellaneous documentation.
