+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

Friends Green Porsche are excited to offer for sale this incredibly rare 40th Anniversary Edition 911, with just 12,000 miles covered from new. The vehicle is in collectors condition, with flawless coachwork and stunning paintwork to match. GT Silver (colour code LM7Z) was first released as the launch colour for the legendary Porsche Carrera GT and is ordinarily a special order colour. The colour is stunning, which is a darker shade and has more depth to it than the “regular” Arctic Silver. Other features that differentiates the 40th Anniversary’s aesthetics from other models, include the aero side skirts, the 4S / Turbo front bumper with splitter, the M030 sports suspension, which lowers the car by 10mm, and the polished finish to the alloy wheels. The alloy wheels and brake calipers are in unmarked condition and the headlights are crystal clear.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The interior is representative of the ultra-low mileage covered by the Porsche. The aroma of new, fresh leather is ever present and all areas of the cabin are unmarked and unworn. A feature reserved for the 40th Anniversary is the usage of the sports perforated leather to the centre panels of the front seats, the side sections of the steering wheel, the gear stick/gaiter and handbrake lever. This sports leather not only make the Porsche more unique, but gives the feeling of a more driver focused sports car. The 40th Anniversary models also come equipped with a body-coloured centre lower console, which ties in beautifully with the external coachwork, as well as “911” scripting in the door entry kick plates and beneath the PCM unit, along with the limited run number scribed on a silver plaque. Further optional equipment specified includes: Tequipment silver coloured dial surrounds and dashboard airbag strip, seat heating, Turbo steering wheel with centre stitched panel, alcantara suede headlining, Bose sound system, and Litronic xenon headlights. There are two remote keys with the car. The optional extra codes read as follows: X99, 425, 437, 438, 440, 454, 538, 567, 665, 666, 670, 680, 692, 09991, 24371.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

The 911 drives and performs as would be expected of a Porsche with a mere 12,000 miles covered. The 40th Anniversary Edition boasts as standard the X51 power pack, which enhances the power output from 320bhp to 345bhp. The power delivery is crisp and the noise emitted is beautiful. Crucially, for peace of mind, the infamous IMS bearing has been upgraded. The admired 6-speed transmission goes through all its gears seamlessly and the clutch is light with positive bite, having been renewed when the IMS works were carried out only a few hundred miles ago. This model comes as standard with the M030 sports chassis, with stiffer shock absorbers, stiffer anti-roll bars and 10mm lower coil springs. The package provides a more sporty-feeling, shaper handling 911, which is joyous to behold on twisty roads. The brakes are sharp and powerful, with minimal wear to the discs and pads.

+- SERVICE HISTORY / PREP WORK

The service history record is comprehensive, with a fully stamped maintenance booklet and a folder filled with paperwork, such as works completed documents, historic MOT certificates, HPI certificates, and other miscellaneous documents such as a certificate of authenticity. The full book pack is present, contained in the Porsche leather owners wallet.

The service intervals completed are as follows:

15/03/2006 – 3,839 miles, 14/08/2009 – 6,595 miles, 11/02/2014 – 9,522 miles, 14/01/2016 – 10,445 miles, 30/03/2017 – 11,221 miles, 11/04/2018 – 11,294 miles, 07/08/2019 – 11,826 miles, 22/08/2019 – 11,846 miles, 30/07/2021 – 12,350 miles, 19/12/2023 – 12, 150 miles

As noted, we have just completed a fresh service, which was the “major” interval including spark plugs, as well as a brake fluid change and MOT. As noted earlier, the IMS bearing was upgraded within the last few hundred miles, as well as the renewal of the three-piece clutch kit. Other recent works includes renewal of the low tone horn, the headlight washer pump, battery, 2x air conditioning condensers, air conditioning system re-gas.
