Porsche 911 996 C4S manual, registered on 09/05/2002, 94,894 miles, MOT 23/06/2022, full service history, 7 previous owners, HPI clear.

Presented for sale is this beautiful example of the wide-bodied iteration of the 996, that is found in the sought after manual, coupe guise, and boasts a recent engine rebuild and an IMS bearing upgrade. “Black on black” is a timeless combination on a 911, which looks particularly well on the wide bodied Carrera 4S. The condition of the body is exceptional, with straight panels and stunning paintwork. The finish of the Basalt Black paint (colour code LC9Z) is brilliant, with a deep glossy, metallic shine, benefitting from the FGP day’s worth of detailing. The 911 is a non-sun roof model, offering a clean, sleek looking roof-line. Beneath the Porsche lay it’s original wide-body alloy wheels, which are in excellent condition.

Inside lays a black leather interior that is in outstanding condition throughout. The high wearing points such as the driver’s side bolster, steering wheel and hand brake show very little wear and could pass for a car much younger than the 911’s years. The carpets, door cards and dash board are very clean, and the electrical functions all work as intended, including the ice-cool air conditioning, which we have just renewed both condensers on and re-gassed the system. To note some choice optional equipment specified with this example, it comes with; Tequipment aluminium embodied gear stick and hand brake, “small aluminium look package” with Arctic Silver upper centre console surround and Arctic Silver binnacle dials surround, 8-way electric seats, Bose sound system with built in subwoofer, and Litronic xenon head lights. There are four remote key fobs with the Porsche. The optional extra codes for the 911 read as follows: C16, XKW, XKX, XNY, X71, X97, X98, 288, 424, 425, 567, 601, 680, 689, 695, 09991.

As noted earlier, when preparing the car for sale, we have fitted the 3.6 litre flat six with the upgraded EPS cylindrical IMS bearing. The engine also underwent rebuild work on 08/06/2015 at 82,547 miles, with Porsche specialists “TWG Motorsport”. Just prior, at 80,419 miles, the three-piece clutch kit, along with the flywheel, was renewed, offering a light left pedal with a positive biting point. The manual transmission passes seamlessly through its six speeds. The brakes are in good condition and stop the car sharply, with the pads renewed in all four corners within the last 12 months / 5,000 miles. The steering is positive and the suspension is tight, having had both front lower control arm renewed within the last 12 months / 5,000 miles.

A formidable servicing record accompanies the 911, including a hard-backed, well ordered folder, filled to the brim with documents relating to the car, such as invoices for works completed, MOT certificates, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, previous sales invoices etc. Also present is the original Porsche leather owners wallet, containing the original owners manuals and the maintenance booklet, showing 17 intervals carried out, as follows:
