+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

Friends Green Porsche present for sale this outstanding example of the every increasingly admired 996 Carrera 4S, which has just had a comprehensive engine rebuild, for the grand total of £16,304.40. Midnight Blue (colour code L39C) is a beautiful shade of blue and befits the wide body of the 4S excellently. As a non-sun roof example, the roof line is uncluttered and sleek looking. The car boasts absolutely straight coachwork, free from any “dings” or marks. The condition of the paintwork itself is equally untainted, with a deep glossy finish, no scratch or swirl marks, and very few stone chips. The car has been given our usual full day’s FGP detailing to emphasise and protect the gorgeous paintwork. Underneath the car lay its original, genuine and unmarked Porsche C4S wide body alloy wheels.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The Metropol Blue leather interior sits alongside the deep blue exterior superbly and offers a classy looking Porsche 911. The condition of the cockpit is outstanding, with the seats looking fresh, the carpets unmarked, and the dashboard, steering wheel and door cards etc all presenting very nicely indeed. Everything inside operates as it should do, including the air conditioning system which blows ice cool. Some nice optional extras are specified with the car including; alcantara suede headlining, 8 way electric seats, Porsche crest embossed head rests, sports switchable exhaust (PSE), Tequipment aluminium embodied gear knob and hand brake, aluminium look instrument dials and dials surround, and stainless door entry kick plates. There are two remote key fobs with the car. The optional extra codes read as follows: C16, XCA, XCB, XCD, XLF, XSC, X70, X71, X97, X98, 425, 513, 567, 680, 939, 09971, 09991.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

As has been noted, this C4S has undergone a comprehensive engine rebuild at “Revolution Porsche Specialists” 15/10/2021 at 95,646 miles. This included new liners, an upgraded IMS bearing and all associated parts (invoice available upon request). As such, the flat 6 3.6 litre boxer engine runs and performs as well as it did when it left Stuttgart in 2003. The Porsche switchable exhaust was specified from new and has recently been renewed with Spyder Performance switchable units, which emit a fitting bark. The six speed manual gearbox changes through its speeds effortlessly and the clutch is light with a positive engagement. The suspension has benefitted from the renewal of most of its components (detailed in the below Service History section), and as such, the 4S handles brilliantly. Bridgestone Potenzas are fitted to the rear and Pirelli P Zeros at the front, with around 7mm in all four corners. The larger brake found on the 4S variant have lots of life and possess powerful stopping ability.
