Here Friends Green Porsche offer for sale another wonderful 996 Carrera 4S, with a much admired specification, and in excess of £15,000-worth of maintenance works expended in the last 4 years / 13,000 miles, including a recent IMS bearing upgrade, nullifying this cause for worry. Atlas Grey (paint code LM7X) was a colour launched in 2004, thus only available for the last year of production on the 996, therefore making it incredibly uncommon. The deep grey / blue shade suits the 4S’ wide body and makes for an eye catching 911. The condition of the exterior is impressive, with pin straight body panels, and untainted paintwork, possessing a deep, glossy finish, enhanced by the day’s worth of FGP detailing that’s been completed in preparation for sale. The headlights are clear, the tail pipe tips are clean with a polished finish and the original 4S wide body wheels have just benefitted from refurbishment, so are without a mark.

The overall condition of the Metropol blue leather interior is fantastic, benefitting from our FGP Interior Package, with its steering wheel reupholstered in colour-coded suede alcantara, red stitching and a red top centre line, as well as installation of Guards Red seat belts. Our colour-coded seat back package has also been completed, which means the often tired-looking rears of the sports hard back seats are in beautiful condition, with the Atlas Grey really setting off the cockpit. The centre lower console has been finished in Arctic Silver, as per the factory available option, which again sets the interior off and ties in nicely with the optional Tequipment gear stick and hand brake with their aluminium embodied sections, and the optional “aluminium-look” instrument dials. The previous owner had Porsche’s PCCM+ unit fitted with us in December 2021, offering up to date features such as Apple Car Play, DAB radio and satellite navigation. All electrical functions inside work as they’re meant to, inclusive of the ice-cool air conditioning, which recently had new pipework, new condensers and a system re-gas. Some sought after features within the interior’s specification include sports hard back seats with shoulder supports, front seat heating, Porsche crested head rests, cruise control, aluminium look dial binnacles, Tequipment gear stick and handbrake with aluminium embodiment, anti-dazzle rear view mirror with rain sensor, anti-dazzle wing mirror, headlamp washers, Litronic xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, park-distance control, Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE). There are two remote key fobs present.

As noted, in the last 4 years / 13,000 miles, the Carrera 4S has benefitted from in excess of £15,000 worth of maintenance works, with the addition to our sales preparation works (detailed in the below section). The engine is in fine health, with a silky smooth idle, fantastic power, and an intoxicating flat-six sound-track, emphasised by the stainless steel “switchable” exhaust back boxes that are fitted. As detailed earlier, the IMS bearing was up graded on 04/05/2021 at 87,281 miles, along with renewal of the clutch and rear main oil seal. As such, the IMS bearing will last the life of the car, the clutch pedal is lovely and light, and the engine is dry underneath. The well regarded manual transmission is a joy to navigate through its six gears and the enlarged brakes, reserved for the 4S and Turbo models, are pin sharp, with the rear discs and pads renewed with us 6 months / 300 miles. The handling ability is superb, thanks to drum tight suspension, which has had a large quantity of components renewed (detailed below). Excellent grip and traction is provided by the four-wheel drive system and the wide rear Bridgestone Potenza tyres, which have XXXXmm of tread remaining. The front tyres are Michelin Pilot Sports, with XXXXmm of tread remaining.

As is noted earlier, the Porsche has been cared for meticulously, with in excess of £15,000 spent on its upkeep within the last 4 years / 13,000 miles, which is fully evidenced by the large folder of accompanying paperwork. The folder is made up of invoices for maintenance works completed since the car was new, MOT certificates, and other miscellaneous documents.
