Friends Green Porsche proudly present for sale, for a second time, this stand-out example of the 996 Carrera 4S. Silver exterior with a red interior is a classic Porsche combination, harking back to the first Porsche; the 356. The example is in phenomenal condition, with original, untainted coachwork and beautiful Arctic Silver (colour code L92U) paintwork, free from scratches or marks, with minimal stone chips to the nose, and benefitting from FGP’s customary detailing process, including a two-stage machine polish and hand-applied ceramic wax. The 911 is specified without a sun-roof, presenting an uncluttered roof line. The original wide-body alloy wheels have very recently been refurbished and rest without a mark. At the rear, the optional “Turbo style” twin chromed tail pipe tips offer a more sporty styling.

The Boxster Red leather interior makes for a special colour combination alongside the Arctic Silver bodywork. The condition inside is beautiful, with fresh, undamaged leather throughout and a mouth-watering array of factory refinements and recently added upgrades. The sports hard back seats with shoulder supports boasts their backings being factory finished in body-colour; a theme that continues onto the Arctic Silver centre lower console, silver backed dials, silver dial binnacle surround and silver dashboard airbag trim. The Carrera 4S also boasts the Tequipment gear knob and handbrake with aluminium embodiment, Porsche crested front headrests, Bose sound system, black alcantara suede headlining, Turbo style twin chromed tail pipe tips and Porsche Switchable Exhaust. Upon our first sale of the 911, the buyer opted for some of our choice upgrade, including the state of the art genuine Porsche PCCM+ module, offering DAB radio, Apple Car Play, and phone hands-free, as well as steering wheel reupholstery in black leather with sports perforated side sections, silver top centre line and silver stitching. Every electrical function operates as intended, including the switchable exhaust system and the ice cool air conditioning, which has its condensers protected by air duct Zunnsport grills.

The C4S drives and performs as superbly as it looks. Our usual meticulous sales preparation process was completed upon our first sale of the Porsche just 12 months ago, and a further FGP Comprehensive Inspection & Report has been completed upon this advertisement. Importantly, we upgraded the IMS bearing to our favoured EPS cylindrical unit, defeating the prominent IMS issue. The 3.6 litre flat six itself is in fine order, with a smooth idle, an abundance of power, and an addictive noise from the switchable stainless steel sports exhaust back boxes fitted. The three-piece clutch kit was also renewed by us, making for a light clutch operation. The highly praised six speed manual transmission travels through its six gears seamlessly, and upon first sale, we fitted the 997 GT3 gear shifter mechanism with a shorter shift and metal bushing. The brakes, which are enlarged on the Carrera 4S variant, have lots of life and stop the car confidently, with the front discs and pads also renewed with us. The suspension is tight throughout, having had a list of components replaced in recent history (detailed below), as well as benefitting from RSS semi solid engine mounts installed with us upon first sale. Continental Conti Sport tyres are fitted to all four corners, with 5mm of tread at the rear and 7mm of tread to the front.

The servicing provenance is as comprehensive as could be, with 18 intervals completed and stamped in the service booklet, all by Porsche main dealer or independent Porsche specialists. A folder filled to the very brim with paperwork accompanies the full book pack, which has invoices for works completed since the car was new, historic MOT certificates and other miscellaneous documents.
