Friends Green Porsche proudly present for sale, for a second time, having sold this example around 12 months ago, this stunning 996 Carrera 4S, with a desirable combination of specification and a recent comprehensive engine rebuild, costing a grand total over £10,000. The Porsche’s coachwork is in fabulous condition, straight along every panel and free from any body repairs. The 911 is a non-sun roof example, which presents a cleaner, sleeker looking roof line. The Midnight Blue (colour code L39C) paintwork is equally fabulous with no blemishes and a beautiful glossy finish throughout.  The car has been given our usual full day’s FGP detailing to emphasise and protect the gorgeous paintwork. Underneath the car lay its original and genuine Porsche C4S wide body alloy wheels, which present well, without any damage.

The Metropol Blue leather interior sits alongside the deep blue exterior superbly and offers a classy looking Porsche 911. The condition of the cockpit is outstanding, with the seats looking fresh, the carpets unmarked, and the dashboard, steering wheel and door cards etc all presenting very nicely indeed. We installed a new set of floor mats in preparation for sale upon the first sale, so these are beautifully clean and complete how fresh the interior is. Everything inside operates as it should do, including the air conditioning system which blows ice cool. Some nice optional extras specified with the car include; alcantara suede headlining, 8 way electric seats, Bose sound system with built in subwoofer, Litronic xenon headlights, sports switchable exhaust (PSE) and Turbo style chromed twin tail pipe tips. There are two remote key fobs with the car and the optional extra codes read as follows: C16, XLF, X54, 288, 425, 446, 567, 601, 680, 692, 09991.

As has been noted, this C4S has undergone a comprehensive engine rebuild at R.G.A Porsche Centre on 06/11/2015 at 85k miles. As such, the flat 6 3.6 litre boxer engine runs and performs as well as it did when it left Stuttgart in 2003. In addition, the IMS bearing has been upgraded, so this worrisome subject is not of concern with this car. The Porsche switchable exhaust was specified from new and emits a beautiful sound track to accompany the outstanding performance. The six speed manual gearbox changes through its speeds effortlessly and the clutch is light with a positive engagement having been renewed when the IMS bearing was upgraded 20,000 miles ago. The suspension has benefitted from a refresh of a number of components, including 4x lower control arms during our preparation process, and renewal of the front top mounts, top bearings and bump stops during our preparation process 12 months ago. New Michelin Pilot Sport tyres are fitted in all four corners, and the large Turbo brakes have lots of life in them, offering great stopping force.

A full service history is with the Porsche, including a well ordered hard-backed folder filled with paperwork such as works invoices, MOT certificates, sales invoices, HPI reports. The original Porsche owner’s wallet containing all of the owner’s manuals and the fully stamped service booklet is also with the vehicle, and the service intervals stamped are as follows:

When we prepared the Carrera 4S for sale 12 months ago, we completed the following: Major service, renew auxiliary drive belt, renew 2x front suspension top mounts, renew 2x front suspension top bearings, renew 2x front suspension bump stops, renew 2x bonnet damping struts, renew 2x front floor mats, renew O/S/F arch liner, renew front bumper splitter, renew 6x coil packs, renew ignition switch, renew oil pressure sender, and renew front wiper blades.

In addition, just prior, the Porsche had benefitted from brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, and in recent times, other work actioned included; refurbish 4x alloy wheels, respray front bumper, renew air mass flow sensor, renew throttle body, repair 2x sports switchable exhaust back box seams, comprehensive engine rebuild, renew water pump, renew alternator, renew three-piece clutch kit, and upgrade IMS bearing.
