Here we have for sale, quite plainly, the nicest example of the 996 Carrera 4S we have ever had the pleasure of selling. In truly immaculate condition throughout, finished in classic Arctic Silver (paint code L92U) body colour, and with striking Boxer Red leather interior, the Porsche is a real eye catcher. The coachwork is perfectly straight along all of its panels, and the paintwork is equally pristine. Our day’s worth of FGP detailing has been completed, which will preserve this wonderful condition for the foreseeable. Being an example without a sun roof, the roofline is sleek and clean looking. The genuine Porsche widebody wheels, reserved for the 4S and Turbo variants, are without a mark, and the headlights are crystal clear, free from the common oxidisation.

The striking Boxer Red interior makes for a very special combination, reminiscent of the classic combo found on the Porsche 356. The condition inside is on par with the exterior. The cockpit feels as if it is only a couple of years old, with no wear or damage to note, even to the usual points of wear, such as steering wheel and driver’s side bolstering. The 4S is equipped with the optional Tequipment handbrake and gear knob, with aluminium embodiment, as well as contrasting black suede alcantara headlining. In terms of specification, the Porsche also boasts park distance control. All electrical functions operate as they should, including the air conditioning system, which has just been fitted with two new condensers, a new compressor and a had system re-gas. There are two remote key fobs.

This example has been cared for with a “money no object” attitude, with the previous keeper spending in excess of £11,000 on the car’s maintenance with Porsche specialists “RPM Tecknik” in the last two years alone (detailed in the below Service History section). The 3.6 litre flat six is in fine health, with its IMS bearing upgraded by the aforementioned specialists within the last 1,000 miles, along with renewal of the three-piece clutch kit. The all important manual gearbox passes through all six speeds seamlessly, with perfect cooperation from the new clutch and the new OE Porsche short shifter that’s just been installed. New stainless steel exhaust manifolds and OE Porsche backboxes have also just been fitted, producing a brilliant sound. On the road, the Carrera 4S handles beautifully in the bends, with ultra-sharp steering, tight suspension, and Michelin Pilot Sport tyres with lots of life to the front, and that are new to the rear. The large 4S brakes also have lots of life and stop the car confidently.

An almighty provenance is with the 911, made up of an impressive, well ordered, hard-back folder, filled to the brim with paperwork relating to the car, such as maintenance invoices, MOT certificates, previous sales invoices, Certificate of Authenticity etc, as well as the original Porsche leather wallet, containing the original owners manuals and the service booklet. The booklet demonstrates 10 intervals; 8 by Porsche main dealer, and the latter 2 by “RPM Tecknik”. These intervals are as follows:
