Presented for sale is this superb, low mileage 996 Carrera 4S, that has been cherished by its previous owner for the last eight years. Importantly, during our sales preparation, we have carried out our routine IMS bearing upgrade, offering peace of mind to the new keeper. The coachwork to this example is in superb shape, with pin straight body panels. Seal Grey (paint colour code L6B4) is a colour that presents a classy looking 911, and the condition of the paintwork is lovely, with minimal imperfections such a stone chips, having had both bumpers removed and resprayed during our preparation process. Our usual FGP day’s worth of detailing has also been completed, emphasising the wonderful aesthetics of the Porsche and protecting its paintwork for the foreseeable. The 996 rests on its original 4S wide body alloy wheels, which are in pristine condition, after being removed and sent away for professionally refurbishment as part of our preparation process.

The black leather interior completes the classy, subtle colour combination of the Porsche. The sports hard back seats with shoulder supports are a desirable option, giving a sporty feel to the cabin and offering better support when pushing the car through bends. The condition of the leather is as you would expect of a well cared for, low mileage example; showing very little wear and no damage. Heavily used places such as the steering wheel, hand-brake and gear-stick have very limited wear, and less commonly used areas such as the head-lining and dash-board are as new. Every electrical function operates correctly, including the electric retractable sun-roof, and the air conditioning system, which has just had both condensers renewed and a re-gas during our preparation process. Some of the choice optional extras specified on this example include: Sports hard-back seats with shoulder support, front seat heating, “Tequipment” aluminium embodied hand-brake and gear-stick, “aluminium look” dial binnacles, automatic dimming rear view mirror, automatic dimming driver’s side wing mirror, Litronic xenon head lights, stainless door shut guards. Two remote key fobs are present.

This example drives and performs like the wonderfully cared for low mileage Porsche that it is; faultlessly. The 3.6 litre flat six mounted at the rear is smooth idling, clean revving, and makes a fantastic sound through the new stainless steel sports back boxes we have fitted during our preparation process. Our routine IMS bearing upgrade has been completed, nullifying this prominent cause for concern. While completing the IMS upgrade, we have also renewed the three-piece clutch kit, as well as the rear main oil seal, meaning there is a light and positive clutch engagement. The manual gearbox travels through its six speeds seamlessly, and the brakes stop the car promptly, having had all its discs and pads renewed within the last 6 month / 500 miles. The steering and suspension is tight and positive, having had its front lower control arms renewed with us in preparation for sale, as well as other recent suspension work. 
The tyres are Pirelli P Zeros which are new at the front and have only undergone 1mm of wear to the rear.

The Carrera 4S has brilliant provenance, made up of a folder filled with paperwork such as previous works invoices, past MOTs and a Certificate of Authenticity. There is also the Porsche leather owners wallet, containing the original manuals and the fully-stamped maintenance booklet, where all services have been carried out by the Porsche main dealer or independent specialists.
