+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

With over £5,500-worth of preparation works just completed in our workshop (detailed below), this 996 Turbo is in fantastic mechanical order and is ready for a new owner to enjoy without any expense needed in the foreseeable. The aesthetics of this example are equally as fantastic, with the 911s beautifully curved coachwork free from any damage or repairs. Lapis Blue (colour code 3A8) is a beautiful, vibrant colour, which suits the Turbo wide body beautifully and makes for a special looking 911. Our customary FGP detailing has been carried out, presenting paintwork with a superbly glossy finish, free from any swirl marks. Being critical, there are a couple of minor marks and stone chips, but overall the Porsche’s bodywork is in very good order. A Turbo model in the non-sun roof guise is uncommon and gives an uncluttered, clean looking roof-line. The large brake callipers found on the Turbo model are finished in original Guards Red, which contrasts with the Lapis Blue body colour, acting as an eye catching accent through the original Turbo alloy wheels, which have recently been refurbished in original Porsche silver.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The Graphite Grey interior suits the Lapis Blue exterior and makes for a nice place to be. The leather is supple and free from heavy wear, including to wear points, such as steering wheel, gear stick and handbrake. The front seats are in fine order, free from notable wear or marks, and other areas such as the carpets, door cards and dashboard are clean. As part of our sales preparation, we have fitted new front floor mats, and removed the centre lower console and had it refurbished in Arctic Silver, as per the Porsche factory option, labelled “aluminium look package” (advertisement photographs taken prior). The air conditioning system blows ice-cool, having also been overhauled during our preparation process (detailed below). The Turbo boasts optional extras such as sports hard back seats with side supports, Porsche crested headrests, alcantara suede headlining, xenon Litronic headlights, and headlamp washers.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

The 911 Turbo is the ultimate driving machine, but to be enjoyed properly, it must be in faultless mechanical order. To assure this example is as such, our customary FGP Comprehensive Inspection & Report has been completed, with over £5,500-worth of follow-up work completed as part of our sales preparation process (detailed in the below section). As such, the legendary, racing-derived Mezger engine mounted at the rear performs exactly as Porsche intended, with blistering performance and an intoxicating noise. The all-important manual transmission is smooth through all six gears, with a clutch that is light with positive bite. The handling ability is excellent, with masses of grip and traction produced by the four-wheel drive system. The steering is positive and the suspension tight, having had a number of components renewed during our sales preparation process. Further work completed by us is the renewal of brake discs and pads to all four corners, providing the stopping ability required of a car with 420BHP. The tyres fitted are Continental Conti Sports with XXXXmm of tread to the front and XXXXmm at the rear.
