+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

This fabulous 996 Turbo is in exceptional condition, has had maintenance expenditure afforded in all the right areas, and is of the desirable manual gearbox, coupe configuration. The body is in beautiful order, with its panels free of any car park dings or marks that would compromise the gorgeous curved shape of the 911. The wide-body looks excellent in Midnight Blue (colour code L39C), and the condition of the paint is superb, with a deep, glossy metallic shine, emphasised and protect by the full day’s worth of FGP detailing that we have just carried out. Being critical, there are some stone chips to the nose, but this is all in the way of imperfections. The original Porsche Turbo hollow spoked alloy wheels are immaculate, without any curb grazes.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

A Graphite Grey interior contrasts with, and is complimented by the dark blue exterior. All areas of the cockpit demonstrate how the 911 has been cared for attentively, with its leather undamaged throughout, its steering wheel, hand brake and gear barely worn, and other areas such as carpets, door cards and dashboard unmarked. All electrical items operate as Porsche intended, including the retractable sun-roof and the ice-cool air conditioning system. Porsche’s PCCM+ unit has been fitted at considerable expense, offering all modern in car entertainment features, such as Apple Car Play and DAB radio. In terms of optional equipment, the 996 comes with; front seat heating, 8-way electrical front seat adjustment, xenon Litronic headlights, park distance control, anti-dazzle rear view mirror, anti-dazzle wing mirror, rain sensor, headlight washer system, Bose sound system with built in subwoofer, alcantara suede headlining, and stainless steel “Turbo” door entry guards. There are two remote key fobs with the car. The optional extra codes read as follows: C16, X70, 342, 567, 635, 650, 666, 09991.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

The 996 has lived a lavish life, with meticulous maintenance, carried out by Porsche main dealer or independent specialists (detailed in the below Service History section). The race-derived, twin turbo charged, Metzger engine performs faultlessly, and is completely standard and unmodified. Married to a six speed manual transmission, which benefitted from a rebuild within the last 20,000 miles, the Porsche has a slick gear change, assisted by a positive clutch engagement, which was also renewed, along with the flywheel, 20,000 miles ago. The larger brakes that come equipped on the Turbo variant, are in fine order, with lots of life, and stop the Porsche sharply. Numerous suspension components have been renewed (detailed below), offering sharp and tight handling. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres are fitted to all four corners, which are new to the rear, and have 6mm to the front.
