Presented for sale is this stunning second generation of the 997 Carrera 4S, equipped with an impressive specification and found in superb condition, having been looked after under the Porsche main dealer warranty, which continues to run until June 2023. The wide-body, boasted by and reserved the 4S and Turbo variants, is in fantastic condition, with all body panels perfectly straight and its Basalt Black (colour code C9Z) presents exceptionally well, benefitting from our customary thorough detailing process, including a two-stage machine polish and application of ceramic wax. The Porsche is a non-sun-roof model, offering a clean and sleek looking roof-line. The headlight faces are crystal clear, free from yellowing oxidisation. The Guards Red brake calipers are in lovely order and present beautifully through the genuine Turbo 19″ alloy wheels, which were specified on the C4S from factory. The twin tipped tail pipes are clean and alongside the iconic rear reflector strip, reserved solely for the 4WD variants, make for a very pretty rear end.

A timeless black leather interior fills the cabin, which is in outstanding condition throughout. The leather is supple and unmarked, the carpets are clean and usual wear points, such as steering wheel and handbrake, are without notable wear. This particular interior was specced from new with options from Porsche’s exclusive range, making it fairly unique and particularly attractive. The stitching to the leather components throughout is coloured Guards Red, tying in beautifully with the external Guards Red brake calipers and red rear reflector strip. The lower centre console is finished in leather, as opposed to the normal plastic finish, and again has its stitching coloured Guards Red. On the top of the lower centre console cubby compartment lid, the leather is embossed with “Carrera 4S”. Further optional equipment includes Park Distance Control, cruise control, Bose sound system with built-in sub-woofer, universal multimedia interface, Turbo alloy wheels, and of course, Sports Chrono Plus package. In addition the 997 has the usual C2s/C4S refinements, such as silver-backed instrument dials, xenon lighting system, headlamp washers, PASM suspension, and PCM3 system. All the electrical functions operate as they should, including the air conditioning, which has just benefitted from the renewal of both condensers and a system re-gas.

As noted earlier, the 911 has been covered under Porsche’s extended warranty, which continues to run until June 2023. All service intervals have also been completed by the Porsche main dealer. The 3.8 litre flat six, which was reconfigured with direct fuel injection for the generation two 997, is in fine health, possessing blistering performance and a gorgeous soundtrack. The dual-clutch PDK transmission passes through its 7 gears seamlessly, having been serviced 500 miles / 6 months ago. The large brakes afforded to the 4S stop the car confidently, with the front discs and pads renewed 500 miles / 6 months ago . The handling ability of the 911 is superb, with sharp steering, compliant suspension and enormous levels of grip and traction provided by the four-wheel drive system and the Pirelli P Zero tyres that are fitted, which have 5.5mm of tread to the front and 5.5mm to the rear.

A comprehensive servicing record is with the 997, including a large folder filled with paperwork such as the Porsche extended warranty documentation, all invoices for works completed to the car since new, historic MOT certificates, and other miscellaneous documentation. Also present is the full book pack, including the original owners manuals and the service booklet. The service intervals completed are as follows:

25/03/2011 – 11,619 miles, 20/02/2013 – 25,131 miles, 23/01/2015 – 40,856 miles, 08/07/2016 – 59,723 miles, 31/07/2018 – 66,776 miles, 19/06/2020 – 68,191 miles, 16/06/2022 – 69,592 miles.

As noted, all of the above servicing has been carried out at the Porsche main dealer under their official extended warranty. Further works completed in recent times include the following: Renew 2x air conditioning condensers, re-gas air conditioning system, renew front brake discs and pads, renew battery, renew bonnet/engine lid switch, renew 4x coil pack heat shields, renew exhaust fixings and manifold bolts, renew rear brake discs and pads, renew 2x tail pipe tips.
