Beautiful gen 2 997 Carrera S, in the coupe, PDK gearbox format, and finished in stunning Meteor Grey (colour code M7W). The coachwork is in superb condition throughout, with no car park “dings”, scrapes or previous repairs. The paintwork itself is also untainted, presenting a deep glossy finish, aided by the day’s worth of FGP detailing that’s been completed. There are minimal stone chips to the front end, and the headlights are absolutely clear, free from yellow oxidisation. The 911 rests on genuine Porsche Turbo 2 alloy wheels, which present well and are in good condition. The Guards Red brake callipers are also in good condition and compliment the colour of the bodywork fantastically. The car is a non-sun roof model, with a clean, uncluttered roof-line.

The timeless black leather interior looks superb, with a condition on a par with the exterior. The leather seats show very little wear, including the driver’s seat, which has only minor signs to its side bolstering. Other wear points, such as the steering wheel, gear selector and handbrake etc are all in exceptional condition, the carpets, headlining and dashboard are immaculate, and all the electric functions perform as they’re meant to, including the ice-cool air conditioning system, which benefits from 2x new condensers having been fitted, and a system re-gas while in with us. The Porsche boasts a substantial list of optional equipment, which includes; sports hard back seats with shoulder supports, front seat heating, 8-way electric seat adjustments, memory seat function, Sports Chrono Plus package, multi-function steering wheel, steering wheel heating, cruise control, Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE), Bose sound system with built in sub-woofer, Park Distance Control, Xenon Plus dynamic cornering lights, universal multimedia interface.

The Porsche performs excellently and is a fantastic drive. The reconfigured 3.8 litre DFI engine found in the generation 2 997 Carrera S doesn’t fail to impress, with brilliant power and a wonderful noise. When the Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) fitted to this example is put into sports mode, it opens up the distinctive flat 6 sound track, but can be quietened again at the touch of a button. The gear change is seamless and instant, thanks to the PDK dual clutch gearbox, which was renewed by Porsche under warranty in 2017. The Sports Chrono Plus package that this example boasts also allows for the gear change to be sharpened and made more aggressive when activated. The package also includes PASM (Porsche Active Suspension. Management), offering a firmer, more sporty ride when active. The suspension and steering is tight and precise, having had components renewed recently (detailed below). Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres with 5.5mm of tread are at the front, and Pirelli P Zeros with 6.0mm of tread are to the rear, offering outstanding grip and traction. The brake discs and pads are all found in good condition and stop the car with impressive force.

A full servicing record is with the Porsche, evidencing how it’s only ever been cared for by the Porsche main dealer or Porsche independent specialists. A folder containing invoicing for previous works completed, historic MOTs and miscellaneous documents is present, as well as the original leather owners wallet containing all the original owners manuals, and the maintenance booklet demonstrating the following intervals completed:
