+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

Here is the opportunity to acquire a very well cared for Porsche 997, which has just undergone our FGP Comprehensive Inspection and subsequent meticulous sales preparation process, with in excess of £6,000-worth of work completed, remedying and refreshing all of the items that are required on these cars at this age. Arctic Silver (colour code L92U) on a black leather interior is a timeless Porsche combination and sits very well on the 997. The silver bodywork contrasts with the black window mouldings and wheel arches etc, demonstrating the the 911’s beautiful curvature. The condition of the bodywork itself is brilliant, free from car park dings or marks, and with paintwork that’s glossy and vibrant, benefitting from our usual FGP detailing package, which involves a two-stage machine polish. The headlight faces are crystal clear, and the 19″ Carrera S alloy wheels are in pristine condition, having been refurbished as part of our sales preparation process. This Carrera is a non-sun roof model, offering a clean and uncluttered roof panel. Carrera S tail pipe tips are fitted, offering a more sporty rear end.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The black leather interior has worn its years brilliantly, still feeling fresh and not suffering any damage. Even the areas that usual suffer wear, such as the steering wheel, hand-brake, and driver’s side bolstering are without notable wear and present beautifully. The electrical features all function correctly, which is inclusive of the air conditioning system, which has benefitted from new condensers and a system re-gas as part of our sales preparation process. Some optional extras specified with the 911 include; 19″ Carrera S alloy wheels, cruise control, Park Distance Control, front seat heating. There are two remote key heads with the Porsche.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

This 997 is in faultless mechanical order, thanks to in excess of £6,000-worth of work being carried out as part of our sales preparation process, actioning all of the common 997 faults when of this age (detailed fully below). The rear mounted 3.6 litre flat 6 fires into life in a spritely manner, having had a new starter motor and “Y” cable with us. The idle is smooth, there is no smoke emitted and no leaks underneath, with the rear main oil seal renewed with us. Fantastic performance is offered on the road and a soundtrack to match is emitted by the new sports stainless steel exhaust back boxes that are fitted. The clutch has also been renewed with us, offering a light left pedal, and the 6-speed manual gearbox is seamless through all gears. A number of suspension components have been renewed with us (detailed below), so the steering is tight and inspires confidence in the corners. The brakes have lots of life remaining and stop the car well. The coolant systems are notoriously problematic on the 997, but we have just attended to all of the infamous pipework, including the renewal of the front “cross over” pipes and the “over engine” pipes, which require removal of the engine in order to replace.

The service history record with the 911 is excellent, made up of the original Porsche leather owners wallet, containing all of the owners manuals and the maintenance booklet, evidencing 9 intervals completed.
