+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

We are proud to offer for sale a 997 that we know well, having sold it twice before. The Porsche is low mileage and in a desirable paint colour, equipped in the sought after manual, coupe guise. The car also benefits from the stronger IMS shaft and bearing configuration, as confirmed by its engine number. The coachwork is in superb condition, with perfectly straight body panels and no notable scratches. Midnight Blue (paint code L39C) is a colour that looks fabulously classy on the 997, and the condition of the paintwork itself is exceptional, with a deep, glossy finish, emphasised and protected by our customary FGP comprehensive detailing process that’s has been carried out. There is minor stone chipping to the nose, but this doesn’t detract from the car’s overall fantastic appearance. The 997 is a non-sun roof model, offering a sleek, uncluttered looking roof-line. Second generation style rear lights and front side lights with l.e.d bulbs are fitted, along with Carrera S tail pipe tips with twin exits. Beneath lay the original Porsche “Carrera S” 5-spoke alloys, which have very recently been refurbished and had 4x new centre caps with us, so present pristinely.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The cabin is filled by a “Stone Grey” coloured interior, which compliments the dark blue exterior and makes for a pleasant place to be. The leather is in superb condition throughout, with even the typical wear points, such as the steering wheel and gear stick, suffering very little wear. Everything works just as it did when it left Stuttgart in 2005, inclusive of the air conditioning system. There are two remote key fobs with the car. The specification codes read as follows: C16, 234, 405, 567, 936, 981, 983.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

The owners to the Porsche have given it meticulous care and this is demonstrated through the way it drives. The flat 6 motor mounted at the rear starts promptly, idles smoothly, revs cleanly and has fantastic performance. Stainless steel sports exhaust back-boxes are fitted, which give a wonderful, sporty noise, without being intrusive in the cabin. As is detailed earlier in this description, the engine number confirms that the later, stronger configuration of the IMS shaft and bearing is with this car, so this is not a cause for concern with this particular 997. The manual transmission passes through all six gears smoothly and the clutch is light with a positive bite. The brakes are in excellent condition and stop the 911 confidently. A number of suspension components have been recently renewed (detailed below), so the car is composed and poised in the bends.

+- SERVICE HISTORY / PREP WORK
