+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

Friends Green Porsche are proud to present this incredibly special and incredibly rare example of the 997. Factory supplied with carbon ceramic brakes (PCCB), M030 sports chassis and limited slip differential, the 911 could be described as a true “driver spec”. The Porsche also benefitted from a new engine with the Porsche main dealer at 37,000 miles, meaning that there is only 24,000 miles on the engine. The coachwork is perfectly straight across all panels, and the Basalt Black (colour code LC9Z) paint work is in superb condition, with very few imperfections to be found. Our customary FGP day’s worth of detailing has been carried out, showing the Porsche’s fantastic aesthetics in its best light, and protecting it for the foreseeable. Being a non-sun roof, non-rear wiper car, the roof-line and rear screen is sleek and uncluttered. The original and genuine Porsche Carrera S 19″ alloy wheels are in a nice condition, through which the impressive large carbon ceramic brakes with yellow calipers can be seen. The headlight faces are clear, free from oxidisation, and the stainless steel to the twin oval S tail pipe tips is clean and well kept.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The dark Sea Blue leather interior has worn its years brilliantly, still feeling fresh and not suffering any damage. Even the areas that usual suffer wear, such as the steering wheel, hand-brake, and driver’s side bolstering are without notable wear and present beautifully. The electrical features all function correctly, which is inclusive of the air conditioning system. As has been touched upon above, the specification of this Carrera S is unusual and really sets it apart from its peers. The following lists some of its optional equipments: Porsche Carbon Composite Brakes (PCCM), M030 sports chassis, limited slip differential, Sports Chrono Plus package, short gear shifter, sports hard backed seats with shoulder supports, Porsche crest embossed front head rests, Bose sound package, centre lower console finished in Galvano Silver. All of the usual features equipped with the Carrera S variant, including alcantara suede head-lining, silver coloured instrument dials, xenon lights, headlight washers, and PCM satellite navigation are also all equipped. There are two remote keys with the car. The option codes list as follows: C16, XCK, XCZ, XSC, 026, 030, 220, 375, 376, 405, 450, 460, 567, 640, 680, 09991.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

As touched upon above, this example has an incredibly rare list of specification, including carbon ceramic brakes, sports chassis, limited slip differential, sports chrono plus package, short gear shifter and sports hard back seats. which will appeal to those that enjoy a spirited drive. This combination of spec make it appealing for and ideal to those who enjoy a spirited, sporty drive. Mechanically the 997 is a credit to its previous keepers. As noted earlier, the 3.8 litre flat six was replaced at the Porsche main dealer just 24,000 miles ago, so is in fine health, starting sharply, idling smoothly, possessing fantastic performance and a wonderful sound track. When the engine was renewed, the clutch was also renewed, so the left pedal is light with a positive engagement. The admired 6-speed transmission passes through all its gears seamlessly, with a rifle-like shift from the factory short shifter. The carbon ceramic brakes are in good condition and offer staggering stopping ability. The M030 sports chassis is very uncommon amongst the 997s, with most equipped with the PASM suspension. M030 includes traditional fixed suspension dampers, that are slightly stiffer than standard, coil springs that lower the car 10mm and slightly stiffer anti-roll bars. This chassis offers a more sporty drive, which when accompanied by the equally rare limited slip differential, makes for an exhilarating drive. Bridgestone Potenza tyres are fitted to all four corners with nearly-new levels of tread.
