+- INTRO / EXTERIOR

Here we have a beautiful Porsche 997 Carrera S that we know well, having sold it twice previously. Upon our last sale, we completed a full engine rebuild, including 6x new cylinder liners. The engine is also of the later, stronger IMS bearing and shaft configuration. The coachwork is wonderful, free from car park dings, scratches and general damage. The Arctic Silver (paint colour code L92U) paintwork is in fabulous condition with a deep metallic shine, free from scratches and swirl marks, benefiting from our customary FGP detailing package. There are a few very minor stone chips to the front bumper, and some barely-noticeable imperfections, but this is being highly critical. The 997 sits on its original Porsche 19″ Sport Design alloy wheels, which we have just had refurbished in preparation for sale.

+- INTERIOR / SPEC

The black leather interior fulfils the classic and sought after Porsche combination of Arctic silver paint with black interior. Everything inside has worn well, including the areas that usually show signs of wear, such as the drivers side bolster and steering wheel. All electrical functions work as they should, including the retractable sun-roof, and the air conditioning system. The Porsche boasts optional equipment such as; retractable electric sunroof, heated front seats and rear parking sensors. There are two remote key fobs with the car.

+- MECHANICS / DRIVE

The 911 is in superb mechanical order and significantly, has had its engine undergo a full engine rebuild with us 18 months / 4,000 miles ago, including installation of 6x upgraded cylinder liners. The engine is also of the later, stronger IMS configuration, which doesn’t have failure concerns. We have recently service the tiptronic gearbox, which provides a smooth gear change. The larger brakes afforded to the S model stop the car confidently and its handling ability is fantastic, having had a list of suspension components renewed in recent times (detailed below). Bridgestone Potenza tyres with 6mm of tread are fitted to the front and Good Years with 5mm are fitted to the rear.

+- SERVICE HISTORY / PREP WORK

A comprehensive servicing record accompanies the 997, with a fully stamped maintenance booklet, a folder filled with paperwork for works completed and all of the original owners manuals contained inside the leather owners wallet.

The service intervals are as follows: 02/07/2007 – 17,549 miles, 24/09/2008 – 33,553 miles, 22/09/2010 – 44,551 miles, 28/09/2012 – 54,060 miles, 29/10/2014 – 61,246 miles, 22/01/2019 – 74,290 miles, 03/12/2020 – 77,593 miles, 23/08/2021 – 77,935 miles, 12/07/2023 – 83,458 miles.
