This Porsche 981 Cayman S comes in the beautiful, rare Guards Red body colour and was equipped from the factory with a list of admired optional equipment, making for a desirable example. Having covered an ultra-low mileage, the Porsche is in outstanding condition throughout. The bodywork is flawless, without a single carpark ding or mark and the iconic Guards Red paint has benefitted from our Comprehensive Detailing Package, exhibiting a swirl-free, deep glossy shine. The black details on the car, such as the pristine optional 20″ Carrera S alloy wheels, the side intakes and front air duct grills, make for a nice contrasting detail, that presents a more aggressive looking sports car.

Inside the cockpit awaits a timeless black leather interior, which is representative of the extremely low mileage travelled by the Cayman. Wear points such as the driver’s side bolstering, steering wheel, and handbrake are all in brilliant order, and areas such as the dashboard, carpets and door cards are unmarked. This example is heavily specced with optional extras such as; Sports Design steering wheel with flappy paddle shifters, cruise control, heated seats, Park Distance Control, 20″ Carrera S 3 alloy wheels, universal multi-media interface. There is of course all of the usual Cayman S equipment such as sports seats, xenon lights, CDR3.1 entertainment system, silver backed instrument dials etc. There are two operational remote key fobs present.

The 981 feels as fresh as it was the day it left Stuttgart and is a joy to be behind the wheel of. The 3.4 litre naturally aspirated engine has power in abundance and will sing all the way to 7,800 rpm.  The transmission is the impressive second generation of Porsche’s PDK gearbox, which is an impressive unit, with instantaneous, seamless gear changes through its 7 speeds. The Sports Design steering wheel offers more engagement with the gear changes than the “standard” equipment steering wheel, via its aluminium flappy paddle shifters. Being an “S” model Cayman, the car is equipped with “sport” mode, which, if engaged, sharpens the gear changes and the throttle response. On the road, the 981’s performance is brilliant, with pin sharp steering, a beautifully poised and well balanced chassis and brakes with excellent stopping power. GoodYear Eagle tyres with nearly-new tread are mounted to all four corners, providing the car with exceptional grip and traction.

A full service history is with the Cayman, evidencing that it has only ever been cared for and worked on by the Porsche main dealer, but for the service we are completing in preparation for sale.

The service intervals completed list as follows: 05/09/2016 – 8,396 miles, 14/09/2018 – 15,452 miles, 25/03/2021 – 19,050 miles, 01/03/2023 – 26,719 miles.

The Porsche has undergone our customary FGP Comprehensive Inspection & Report, where any highlighted advisory works are attended to in our in-house workshop. This example had no advisories, but for routine servicing being due. In preparation for sale we are completing a minor service interval, a brake fluid change, a PDK gearbox fluid change and an MOT.
