With a list of factory specification to be admired, an exceptionally low mileage and in a condition on par with a year old car, this 981 Cayman S is an outstanding example. The dark grey paint colour, otherwise known as Agate Grey Metallic (colour code M7S) suits the Cayman wonderfully and offers a classy looking Porsche. The condition of the coachwork is superb, straight across all its panels, and with no previous repairs carried out. There are minimal stone chips to the nose and no scratches anywhere on the body. Our usual day’s worth of detailing has been completed, exampling the fantastic condition the paintwork is in, and protecting it for the foreseeable. The Guards Red S brake callipers rest as accent pieces within the centre of the optional 20″ Carrera S 3 multi-spoke alloy wheels, with both the callipers and the wheels presenting in beautiful order.

The cockpit is made up of a classic black leather interior, which is in a condition that would have you believe the car is only a year or so old. The Cayman has a choice array of optional extras, including equipment that gives the feel of a driver orientated sports car. For example, the sports hard back seats with shoulder supports retain the driver in their seat more tightly, the sports design steering wheel offers a more engaging and intuitive gear change with the “flappy paddle” gear shifters, the sports chrono plus feature allows for a change in driver modes, altering the firmness of the suspension, the sharpness of the throttle and the aggressiveness of the gear shifts, and the dynamic engine mounts allow for flatter cornering ability. Further features boasted by the 981 include the aforementioned 20″ Carrera S 3 alloy wheels, cruise control, xenon plus dynamic cornering headlights, Bose sound package, universal multimedia interface, Porsche emblem crested headrests, seat heating. There is also of course all the standard equipment equipped with the “S” variant, such as silver backed instrument dials, extended leather, PCM module with DAB radio, headlamp washers, front and rear park distance control. There are two remote key fobs with the vehicle.

The 981 is joyous to be behind the wheel of and performs precisely as Porsche intended. The 3.4 litre naturally aspirated engine has power in abundance and will sing all the way to 7,800 rpm. The transmission is the second generation of Porsche’s PDK gearbox, which is an impressive unit, with instantaneous, seamless gear changes through its 7 speeds. On the road, the handling is brilliant, with pin sharp steering and a beautifully poised and well balanced chassis. The sports chrono plus package is an excellent feature, transforming the Porsche from a well mannered, compliant cruiser, to a sharp and capable sports car. The brakes stop the Porsche confidentially, having had new discs and pads fitted to the front during our sales preparation process. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres provide the car with exceptional grip and traction, which have XXmm of tread at the front and XXmm to the rear.

This car has only ever been serviced by the Porsche main dealer, having been covered under the Porsche extended warranty, which can be renewed by the new owner if desired. Present is the fully stamped service booklet, the Porsche leather owners wallet containing all the original manuals, and a folder of paperwork for works invoices, Porsche warranty documentation and even the Porsche sales invoice.

If requested by the buyer, we will carry out a fresh service and brake fluid change on the Cayman prior to sale. As part of our sales preparation process, we have also renewed the front brake discs and pads.
