+- INTRO / EXTERIOR
This Boxster is a very rare example, having had just one owner from new and having covered a mere 29,960 miles. This is a totally original example, even down to still presenting its supplying dealer’s number plates. Lapis Blue (paint code L3A8) is a beautiful colour, with a deep vibrance to it, which really catches the eye. The coachwork is in fine condition, straight along all panels, and without any untoward marks. The paintwork is believed to be original, and as such, upon delivery, there were marks to the front and rear bumpers. To remedy these, we removed both and had them resprayed. The customary day’s worth of FGP detailing has been completed, ridding the paint of swirl marks and protecting its finish for the foreseeable. The factory hard top roof is with the Boxster, which is a rare sight twenty years on from its production. The original Porsche alloy wheels present well, benefitting from four new Porsche centre caps while in with us.
+- INTERIOR / SPEC
A Metrolpol Blue interior compliments the Lapis Blue exterior, and its condition is representative of its ultra-low mileage. There is no wear or damage to note, with everything inside looking and feeling fresh. All of the electrical functions work as they should, which is inclusive of the electrically retractible convertible roof and the air conditioning system. There are two remote key fobs and the original valet key with the car. The optional extra codes specified are as follows: C16, 197, 321, 441, 502, 551, 567, 571, 573, 584, 689.
+- MECHANICS / DRIVE
The Boxster drives as would be expected of a Porsche with 29,960 miles covered. The 2.7 litre Boxer engine is in fine fettle, starting, idling and performing as it did when it left Stuttgart in 2001, accompanied by a five-speed manual transmission, which travels through the gears smoothly, with the assistance of a light clutch pedal. The brakes have lots of life, stopping the car with power, and all four tyres also have lots of life remaining. The suspension is in good order, feeling poised on the road and offering precise and responsive steering.
