The car is factory finished in Meridian Silver; a colour that was only made on the pre-facelift cars for one year, (colour code L6A6), and differentiates from the common Arctic Silver with a slightly darker shade and a blue/purple hint under certain lights. In addition to this rare colour, the car is also a non-sunroof model, which presents a sleeker, cleaner line across the roof. The factory fitted GT3 aero kit that is fitted is also a highly desirable spec and it suits this rare colour beautifully. The condition of the bodywork it self is superb. There are no car park dings to note and nor are there any stone chips to the front end due to the front bumper being professionally resprayed while in with us. The body has also undergone a machine polish and wax with us at Friends Green Porsche so the paintwork glistens beautifully. There is one small mark to the rear bumper and some stone chipping to the inner faces of the bottom of the wheel arches, but this is all. The original and genuine Porsche BBS "GT3" style wheels are present and have just been professionally refurbished while in with us so are without a mark to them. The tyres are in very good condition and four new centre caps have been fitted.InteriorInside is timeless black leather interior; all of which is in very nice order, including the normal wearing areas such as the drivers side bolster, door card and steering wheel. The carpets and optional extra alcantara suede headlining are also in brilliant condition and everything electrical inside the car operates just as it is supposed to. This example is utterly original inside, with the uncommon optional extra of PCM satellite navigation system fitted. There are two keys with the car, one of which is a working remote key fob.The optional extra codes on this car are as follows: C16. XRE, XJ4, XNR, XNX, XPY, XRL, 236, 288, 425, 476, 490, 567, 662, 689, 936, 981, 983, 09981, 09991.MechanicsThis 996 drives just as well as it looks. The 3.4 litre engine is smooth on idle, revs cleanly and produces a wonderful sound through it's upgraded stainless steel sports exhaust system - fitted 22/06/2012, 83,929 miles. There is no unwanted tapping noises, no leaks and no smoking. The manual gearbox is silky smooth, having been rebuild on 22/06/2012 at 83,929 miles at Northway Porsche. The clutch bites and operates as it should and the brakes stop the car well, having had new discs and pads fitted at the same time as the gearbox rebuild. The handling of the Porsche is superb; it gives a vast amount of grip, which gives great confidence when tackling bends. The car feels utterly tight with no rattles or knocks coming from suspension parts.Service historyThe Porsche comes with a comprehensive service history, with a fully stamped maintenance booklet, all the original owners manuals and leather wallet, invoices for works completed, MOT certificates, HPI report, and past sales invoices etc.The service intervals completed are as follows: 04/01/2002 - 8,082 miles, 05/08/2002 - 21,599 miles, 22/09/2003 - 31,270 miles, 22/11/2004 - 36,580 miles, 16/01/2006 - 42,607 miles, 07/02/2007 - 49,075 miles, 02/06/2009 - 52,102 miles, 10/08/2010 - 69,712 miles, 21/07/2011 - 76,760 miles, 22/06/2012 - 83,929 miles, 22/07/2013 - 91,562 miles, 09/05/2014 - 95,752 miles, 29/12/2017 - 105,561 miles. The first six intervals were completed by Porsche main dealer, the following six by Northway Porsche, and the interval just completed by our dedicated specialist; Porscha Care.
