Intro / exterior

We proudly present for sale this fantastic example of the Porsche 996, finished in Basalt Black (colour code LC9Z) with the unusual and contrasting "Cinnamon Brown" leather interior. During our preparation processes we have upgraded the IMS bearing, nullifying this concern for the new owner. The 911 is a non-sun roof model, which offers a cleaner and sleeker looking roof line. The condition of the bodywork is brilliant, there are no dents or dings spoiling the Porsches gorgeous lines and there are no notable scrapes or scratches anywhere. The only imperfections to be found are stone chips to the nose of the car. While in with us, the car has benefitted from our usual day's worth of detailing, which has emphasised the metallic shimmer in the paint. Genuine Porsche Sports Classic BBS split wheels are present and are pristine condition, having been professionally refurbished while with us. The tyres fitted are Michelin Pilot Sports with circa 5-6mm to the front and Pirelli P Zeros with circa 5-6mm to the rear.

Inside the car is a fabulous contrasting Cinnamon Brown leather interior, which is uncommon amongst 996s and looks superb alongside the black exterior. The seats have worn their years very well indeed with no noteworthy wear, the carpets are immaculate, the dash and door cards are very good, and even usual wear-points such as the steering wheel and gear stick etc are in nice condition. The car also boasts the optional extra suede alcantara headlining, which is also in immaculate condition. There are two keys with the car, both of which are working remote key fobs. The optional extra codes on this car are as follows: C16, 424, 425, 567, 635, 689, 695, 936, 981, 983.

Mechanics /drive

The Porsche is a brilliant drive, and much like the rest of the car, does not feel it's age as it gets along the road. As mentioned, we have upgraded the IMS bearing for the piece of mind of the new keeper. The 3.6 litre has a beautifully smooth idle, power in abundance when the right foot is applied and a fierce roar emitted from the sports stainless exhaust back boxes. The 6 speed manual gearbox changes up and down seamlessly and the clutch is just as it should be, having been renewed while with us. The brakes on the car have lots of life and stop the car sharply with excellent feel. The handling of the car is brilliant and the suspension is utterly tight having had its front lower control arms and track rod ends renewed while in with us.
