Into / exterior
Here we proudly present a gorgeous and hard to find Porsche 997 Carrera 4S generation 2 with factory fitted aerokit-cup, among an array of other desirable optional extras. The aerokit-cup (option code XAA) is made up of the GT3 rear spoiler and the body-coloured splitter on the front PU. This is a very expensive optional extra and one that not many 997s were specified with and even less wide-bodied Carrera 4S models benefitting from the option. Accompanied by the wide body of the Carrera 4S, the factory fitted 19" Turbo alloy wheels and the Basalt Black body colour (paint colour code Z4/C9Z), this really is a purposeful and aggressive looking 911 and one that turns heads where ever it goes. The bodywork is perfectly straight throughout and the paintwork is in marvellous condition with no scrapes or scratches and only a few stone chips present. 18 months / 2,000 miles ago the front bumper was professionally resprayed and the front splitter was renewed, so the front end looks fresh. The Turbo alloy wheels are in near-perfect condition having been professionally refurbished at the same time and the car sits on Bridgestone Potenza tyres that were new less than 12 months / 1,000 miles ago.
The black leather interior is also in beautiful order and everything inside of course functions just as Porsche intended, including the air conditioning, which we have just overhauled with new condensers and a re-gas. The 911 boasts the sports hard back seats with shoulder supporting, as well as Sports Chrono package, which are further sought-after optional extras that makes this car particularly desirable. Other optional spec found inside this car include; Bose sound system with built in subwoofer, rear parking sensors, seat heating, Porsche switchable exhaust (PSE), silver coloured instrument dials, amongst various other optional extras. There are two working remote key fobs with the car.
The Porsche has been cared for meticulously by its owners and this is evidenced by its history file and through the way it drives. The 3.8 litre DFI engine mounted to the rear performs faultlessly, has blistering performance and emits a glorious sound, particularly when the PSE is set to loud mode. Out on the road, the handling is sublime; there is vast grip and traction and the Sports Chrono package offers the option of driving in a comfortable mode, or switching to "Sport" or "Sports Plus" mode when a more spirited drive is desired. Many of the suspension components have benefitted from very recent renewals (detailed in the service history section below) so the car feels tight and fresh. The large 4S brakes do not have much wear to them and stop the car fantastically well and the dual clutch PDK gearbox goes through its speeds seamlessly.
