Intro/ exteriorHere we have a fabulous example of the Porsche 996 Carrera 4 that has been cared for with a money-no-object attitude, having been pampered with over £10,000 worth of renewal work in the previous owner's 3 years of ownership, all evidenced by the vast service history that is present and detailed later on in this advert description. The coachwork is finished in Arctic Silver (paint colour code L92U), which is fast becoming the classic 996 colour. All the panels are straight and damage free and the condition of the paint-work itself is second-to-none, but for some hazing to the nose of the front bumper. Something we particularly like about this example is the fact that it is a non sun-roof model, which presents a cleaner and sleeker looking roof-line. Beneath the car lay original Porsche BBS "Turbo Twist" alloys, which are all in good presentable order and have good Pirelli P Zero tyres fitted.InteriorInside the car is a Metropol Blue leather interior that compliments the silver exterior wonderfully. The sought after sports hard back seats that the car boasts show minimal wear, the steering wheel is in equally nice condition, the alcantara suede headlining is as new and the carpets, dashboard and door cards are also all in fabulous condition. There are no faults with the interior's electrical functions, including the air conditioning system which has benefitted from recent condensers and a re-gas. There are some nice optional extras specified on the Porsche such as the suede alcantara headlining, three-prong steering wheel, addition speaker sound package, "Tequipment" aluminium embodied hand-brake, and of course the non sun-roof. There are two remote key fobs with the car and the optional extra codes for the car are as follows: C16, 288, 375, 376, 424, 425, 436, 490, 567, 659, 689, 695, 936, 981, 983.Mechanics
This Porsche drives like the 911 that it is; i.e. one that has had £10,000 worth of renewal works in the last 3 years. The engine performs faultlessly with a lovely smooth idle, a beautiful noise and acceleration to match. It is free from leaks, doesn't emit smoke or untoward noises and is free from IMS bearing concerns, having had the EPS cylindrical upgraded unit installed. The gearbox also operates just as Porsche intended with a smooth and positive change through all six speeds and the clutch is light and bites as it should, having been renewed, along with the flywheel and RMS. The rear brake discs and pads were renewed in the last 5,000 miles and fronts show little wear and as such the brakes have a superb feel and stopping power. The handling is superb, with the majority of the suspension components benefitting from recent renewals, including the installation of the full M030 Porsche sports suspension package 5,000 miles / 2 years ago, which lowers the car by 10mm and provides a more sporty handling car.Service history
As far as servicing records go, this 996 couldn't possess better. There is a hard-backed folder present with invoices dating right back to when the car was new. As noted earlier, there has been in excess of £10,000 spent on the renewal of components in the last 3 years alone and £1,000's spent in the years prior to that. The service booklet is of course also present with 19 intervals completed as follows:

To note just some of the renewal work that has been completed on this exceptional example in the last three years: IMS bearing upgrade, clutch, flywheel, rear main oil seal, full M030 Porsche sports suspension with 4x dampers, 4x springs and 2x anti roll bars. Front top mounts, bump stops, bearings, 4 wheel alignment, front lower control arms, 6x spark plugs, 6x coil packs, 2x coil pack heat shields, rear brake discs and pads, K&N panel filter & resonator intake delete, low temp thermostat. The large majority of this work was completed by JAZ Porsche specialists in St Albans.
