Here we have this gorgeous looking wide bodied 996 Carrera 4S. Finished in the eye-catching combination of black bodywork and a red/black interior this example is one that certainly stands out amongst the crowd. This particular C4S is a non-sun roof model, which presents a clean and sleek looking roof line. The coachwork is beautifully straight throughout with no dings or dents to take away from the fantastic curves of the wide body. The Basalt Black (colour code LC9Z) paintwork has an eye catching glossy finish and is without scratches or damage. There are some very minor stone chips to the nose of the car, but this is all in the way of imperfections. We have given the Porsche a full body soft machine polish and hand wax so the car is free from any swirl marks and the paintwork is protected. The Porsche looks even more special laying on its very rare "Turbo Techno" hollow spoke alloy wheels, which are a genuine Porsche part, only selected as an optional extra on a very select few Carrera 4S and Turbo models, therefore making them worth a small fortune. The alloys are in good presentable condition and have four Kumho sport tyres fitted with nearly new levels of tread.
Inside the car is a beautifully contrasting half red, half black leather interior which really does look stunning alongside the Metallic black coachwork. The seats, dashboard and upper half of the door cards are finished in red and the carpets, lower half of the door cards and the headlining are in black, which offers a nice balance of the two colours. All of the leather is in exceptional condition, including to the front seats which have suffered minimal wear. The carpets and suede alcantara headlining are also in wonderful order and all of the electrical components operate as they are supposed to. This 911 boasts some nice optional extra features such as; suede alcantara headlining, sports hard-backed seats with shoulder supports and Porsche emblem encrested head rests, PCM satellite navigation, xenon litronic headlights. There are two keys with the car and one is a fully operational remote fob. The optional extra codes read as follows: C16, XNS, XSC, 288, 375, 376, 425, 539, 540, 567, 601, 662, 663, 689, 09991, 21431, 22021.
It is evident by the way that this 911 drives that it has been cared for meticulously by its previous owners and this is supported by the great service record that accompanies the vehicle. The 3.6 litre flat 6 engine idles beautifully smoothly and revs up crisply with a tremendous sound that is fitting to the eye-catching presence of the car. The Porsche is fitted with 200 cel sports catalytic converters and stainless steel sports back boxes, which makes for an exhaust system that is quiet when driving modestly but roars ferociously under heavy acceleration (please take the time to watch the video that demonstrates the brilliant noise). The gearbox travels through it's six speeds seamlessly and the clutch bites and changes gears well. The large Turbo brakes are in very good order and have fantastic performance, stopping the car straight and sharply. The suspension feel utterly tight beneath the car with no knocks or rattling and the general handling ability is second-to-none with vast amount of grip in bends and superb traction given by the 4WD system.
With the Porsche is a fantastic history, made up of a folder brimmed with paperwork for works completed, MOTs, HPI certificates etc, as well as the original Porsche leather wallet containing the original owners manuals, handbook and the fully stamped maintenance booklet.
