Porsche 911 996 Carrera 4S manual, registered on 07/02/2003, 77,446 miles, 12 months MOT, full service history, 4 previous owners, HPI clear. 


Intro / exterior

Finished in the eye-catching combination of black bodywork and a red/black interior, this example of the every increasingly sought after 996 C4S is one that certainly stands out amongst the crowd. The coachwork is beautifully straight throughout with no dings or dents to take away from the fantastic curves of the wide body. The Basalt Black (colour code LC9Z) paintwork has a fabulous glossy finish, is without any notable scratches or damage and has minimal stone chips present. The Porsche has been subject to our usual FGP day's worth of detailing, so the superb condition of the exterior is emphasised and protected. Beneath the car lay its original and genuine wide body "Turbo" alloy wheels, which we have had professionally refurbished and as such are in immaculate condition. There are Falken tyres to the rear with 3-4mm of tread and Continental Conti Sport 2s to the front with 6mm.



Inside the car is a beautifully contrasting "Boxer Red" leather interior, with full optional extra carbon package. The interior is in exceptional condition, with the leather in beautiful conditiong, the carpets and suede alcantara headlining also in wonderful order and all of the electrical components operate as they are supposed to. The only notable wear inside is to the backs of the front seats that have some scuffs. Last year a Pioneer double-din head unit was installed with bluetooth connectivity at considerable expense. As noted, this 911 has the very rare full carbon interior package, which is made up of carbon lower centre console, upper centre console, "air bag" strip, dial surround, gear stick and handbrake. All of these carbons bits are in beautiful condition and the combination of this carbon and the red coloured leather really does look stunning alongside the metallic black coachwork. The Porsche boasts some further desirable optional extras such as; Porsche Switchable Exhaust (PSE), chromed twin "Turbo" tail; pipe tips, suede black alcantara headlining, sports hard-backed seats with shoulder supports, Porsche emblem crested head rests, front seat heating, xenon Litronic headlights, Tequipment aluminium embodied handbrake and gear stick, Bose sound system with built in sub woofer, stitched centre pieced steering wheel. There are two remove key fobs with the car and the optional extra codes read as follows: C16, XLF, XMF, XMJ, XNR, XNX, XPA, XPY, XSC, XJ4, XX1, X47, X54, X58, X69, 09991.


Mechanics / drive

It is evident by the way that this 911 drives that it has been cared for meticulously by its previous owners and this is supported by the great service record that accompanies the vehicle. The 3.6 litre flat 6 engine idles beautifully smoothly and revs up crisply with a tremendous sound produced through the Porsche Switchable Exhausts, which is fitting to the eye-catching presence of the car. As is noted above, we have upgraded the IMS bearing in preparation for sale, so this common cause for concern is no more. The gearbox travels through its six speeds seamlessly and the clutch is lovely and light, having just been renewed by us in preparation for sale. The large Turbo brakes that come equipped on the C4S are in perfect order, with new discs and pads installed to the front during our preparation process. The suspension is utterly tight beneath the car, having also received a note-worthy amount of parts during our sales-prep. (See below).


Service history / sales prep

With the Porsche is a fantastic history, made up of a folder filled with paperwork for works completed, MOTs, HPI certificates etc, as well as the original Porsche leather wallet containing the original owners manuals, handbook and the fully stamped maintenance booklet.

In preparation for sale, we have upgraded the IMS bearing, renewed the clutch, rear main oil seal, front upper suspension mounts, front suspension upper bearings, front suspension bump stops, O/S/F suspension damper, O/S/F wheel bearing, refurbished the Porsche Switchable Exhausts, renewed both Porsche Switchable Exhaust accuator valves, exhaust fitting kit with sleeve clamps, coil pack heat shields, low pressure air conditioning pipe, regassed the air conditioning system, renewed the luggage compartment light, fuel cap, alternator, both long passenger sill brake lines, refurbished the alloy wheels, replaced the passenger door lock mechanism, as well as carrying out a minor service and fresh MOT. In addition, in the last couple of years the car has also benefitted from work such as; renewal of engine mounts, water pump, low temperature thermostat, bonnet struts, ignition switch, coolant hoses, suspension tuning arm, indicator stalk set, optical interface head unit.
