Intro / exterior

Presented here is the opportunity to acquire the increasingly sought after 996 Carrera 4S with a desirable combination of specification and a recent comprehensive engine rebuild that cost the grand total of over £10,000. The Porsche's coachwork is in fabulous condition, straight along every panel and free from any body repairs. The 911 is a non-sun roof example, which presents a cleaner, sleeker looking roof line. The Midnight Blue (colour code L39C) paintwork is equally fabulous with no blemishes and a beautiful glossy finish throughout. The front bumper was resprayed less than 12 months ago and thus possesses no stone chips. The car has been given our usual full day's FGP detailing to emphasise and protect the gorgeous paintwork. Underneath the car lay its original and genuine Porsche C4S wide body alloy wheels, which were refurbishing less than 12 months ago and as such are in immaculate condition. The wheels are wrapped in brand new Michelin Pilot sports.



The Metropol Blue leather interior sits alongside the deep blue exterior superbly and offers a classy looking Porsche 911. The condition of the cockpit is outstanding, with the seats looking fresh, the carpets unmarked, and the dashboard, steering wheel and door cards etc all presenting very nicely indeed. We have installed a new set of floor mats in preparation for sale to complete how fresh this interior is. Everything inside the Porsche operates as it should do, including the air conditioning system which blows ice cool. Some nice optional extras specified with the car include; alcantara suede headlining, 8 way electric seats, Bose sound system with built in subwoofer, Litronic xenon headlights, sports switchable exhaust (PSE) and Turbo style chromed twin tail pipe tips. There are two remote key fobs with the car and the optional extra codes read as follows: C16, XLF, X54, 288, 425, 446, 567, 601, 680, 692, 09991.



As has been noted, this C4S has undergone a comprehensive engine rebuild at R.G.A Porsche Centre on 06/11/2015 at 85k miles. As such, the flat 6 3.6 litre boxer engine runs and performs as well as it did when it left Stuttgurt in 2003. In addition, the IMS bearing has been upgraded, so this worrisome subject is not of concern with this car. The Porsche switchable exhaust was specified from new and emits a beautiful sound track to accompany the outstanding performance. The six speed manual gearbox changes through its speeds effortlessly and the clutch is light with a positive engagement having been renewed when the IMS bearing was upgraded a mere 15,000 miles ago. The suspension and steering feel utterly tight behind the wheel, aided by the new front upper suspension mounts, bearings and bump stops we have fitted during our sales preparation process. The brake discs and pads were renewed in all four corners just 18,000 miles ago so stop the car very well indeed.

A full service history is with the Porsche, including a hard-backed, well ordered folder filled with paperwork such as works invoices, MOT certificates, sales invoices, HPI reports etc, as well as the original Porsche owner's wallet containing all of the owner's manuals and the fully stamped service booklet.

In preparation for sale we have carried out a major service, including renewal of the spark plugs and auiliary drive belt, as well as the following: Renewal of the front suspension top mounts, renewal of the front suspension top bearings, renewal of the front bump stops, renewal of the bonnet damping struts, renewal of the brake calliper stickers, cleaning and protecting the brake pipes throughout, renewal of the front floor mats, renewal of the O/S/F arch liner, renewal of the front bumper splitter, renewal of 5 coil packs (1 already new), renewal of the ignition switch, renewal of the oil pressure sender, and renewal of the front wiper blades. In addition, the Porsche has just benefitted from brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and a new battery. In recent times, other works actioned includes; refurbishment of the alloy wheels, respray of front bumper, renewal of the air mass flow sensor, renewal of the throttle body, repairs to the sports switchable exhaust back boxes, the comprehensive engine rebuild, renewal of the water pump, renewal of the alternator, renewal of the three-piece clutch kit, and upgrading of the IMS bearing.
