Short video of the car:
Presented here is this beautiful Porsche 996 Turbo in the gorgeous Seal Grey body colour (paint colour code L6B4) with black leather interior. This example is in wonderful condition, with beautifully clean, straight and original bodywork throughout. There are minimal imperfections to the paintwork, limited to some very minor stone chips to the nose of the car, however the front bumper was resprayed recently and looks very well. We have treated the Porsche to a full body soft head machine polish and hand wax to protect the fabulous condition of the paintwork and to properly demonstrate it's shine. The car rests on it's genuine Turbo alloy wheels, which we have just had refurbished so are in immaculate condition and the tyres are N rated Michelin Pilot Sports.
The black leather interior makes for a classy combination alongside the Seal Grey body. The interior has aged very nicely with minimal wear and no damage, as demonstrated by the photographs. Even the typical wear-points of the interior such as the drivers side bolstering, the steering wheel and the hand brake etc have all worn well and could pass for a car of less years. Every electrical function in the cockpit works just as it is supposed to and the car has desirable optional extras such as; Bose sound system with rear subwoofer, alcantara suede headlining, heated seats, PCM satellite navigation system, Tequipment aluminium embodied gear stick and xenon litronic headlights. The optional extra codes read as follows: C16, 139, 340, 567, 650, 662, 689.
As per the advert title, this 996 Turbo has had over £20,000 spent on it's maintenance in the last 5 years by it's previous owner, which is detailed below in the "service history" section. As such, the Porsche drives superbly and without fault. The 3.6 litre twin turbo charged engine starts as it should, doesn't leak any fluids and doesn't create any smoke. There is tremendous power to be called upon and a fabulous noise produced, too. The 6 speed manual gearbox goes through it's gears seamlessly and the clutch was renewed at 70k miles so is light and bites as it should. The front brakes were renewed at 80k miles and the rear brakes were renewed at 95k miles, so the car stops very well indeed. The history file details the renewal of many suspension components and as such the car handles fantastically and does not produce any abnormal noises over bumps etc.
Accompanying this Porsche is as comprehensive a service record as could be imagined. There is a hard-backed ring bound folder with 4 inches thick of paperwork relating to the car, all in laminated covers and chronologically ordered. There is of course also the original owners manuals and service booklet in the original Porsche leather wallet.
The service intervals are as follows:
22/08/2002 - 8,906 miles, 22/09/2003 - 16,592 miles, 22/09/2004 - 22,085 miles, 21/11/2005 - 30,090 miles, 20/11/2006 - 39,617 miles, 14/12/2007 - 48,334 miles, 22/09/2009 - 63,568 miles, 11/05/2011 - 70,565 miles, 10/09/2012 - 76,722 miles, 07/06/2013 - 81,903 miles, 19/11/2014 - 88,736 miles, 19/02/2016 - 91,336 miles, 28/06/2019 - 104,751.
The previous owner had the car for 5 years and spent in excess of £20,000 on it in that time caring for it meticulously. The owner prior to that owned the car for a similar time and spent a comparable amount on the car, too. Just some of the noteworthy works completed are as follows: Water pump, power steering rack, power steering pipe, brake discs and pads, 2x turbo chargers, 2x turbo dump valves, tank sender, catch tank, all exhaust heat shields & bolts & fixings, brake pipes including over gearbox pipe, suspension arms, alternator, fuel pump, MAF sensor, coolant radiator, air conditioning condensers, clutch.
While in with us, we have inspected the car and carried out the following works; minor service, renew camshaft sensor, drain, fill & bleed spoiler rams, renew intercooler, replace rear driveshaft.
As a result of this meticulous maintenance, this Porsche 996 Turbo presents the opportunity to own an example that does not require large sums of money spent on it for many miles to come.
